What type of air conditioner is it there can be many reasons why it's freezing are you getting and air coming out? Is the compressor working? Is the filters dirty? Check these things out if its none of the above please provide more info on Ac

    Its a kenmore,model number....580.72082200,the compressor does work and the filter is clean

    Once there is air coming from the unit then it seems your air conditioner may have a gas leak. A technician will have to make a repair

Air Temperature Sensors
The air temperature sensors are a 2-wire negative temperature co-efficient thermistor. The vehicle uses the following air temperature sensors:
• Ambient Air Temperature Sensor
• Inside Air Temperature Sensor Assembly
• Upper Left Air Temperature Sensor
• Upper Right Air Temperature Sensor
• Lower Left Air Temperature Sensor
• Lower Right Air Temperature Sensor
A signal and a low-reference circuit enables the sensor to operate. As the air temperature surrounding the sensor increases, the sensor resistance decreases. The sensor signal voltage decreases as the resistance decreases. The sensor operates within a temperature range between -40°C (-40°F) to 101°C (215°F). The sensor signal varies between 0-5 volts.
The input of the duct air temperature sensors are different from the ambient and inside sensors. The HVAC control module converts the signal to a range between 0-255 counts. As the air temperature increases the count value will decrease.

The HVAC control module monitors the upper left and upper right duct temperature sensors when the mode switch is in the VENT or BI-LEVEL positions. The HVAC control module monitors the lower left and lower right duct temperature sensors when the mode switch is in the DEFOG, FLOOR or FRONT DEFROST positions. The duct sensors are used to measure the temperature of the air exiting the ducts to help maintain a consistent cabin air temperature. These duct sensor inputs provide the HVAC control module a way to determine if the engine needs to be started to maintain a specific air temperature. If an upper duct sensor circuit failure is detected the HVAC module will not request an engine start to help cool the cabin. A lower duct sensor circuit failure will not prevent the engine from starting.

There is none on your vehicle , temperature control is by a cable .There is a evaporator temperature sensor , this is used to keep the evaporator from freezing up !
Air Temperature Control The air temperature control regulates the HVAC system air temperature in any mode. An air temperature control cable mechanically links the air temperature control to the air temperature door.
Evaporator Temperature Sensor The evaporator temperature sensor will not allow an A/C request to the body control module (BCM) at temperatures less than 0°C (32°F).

My 1998 gmc jimmy slt has a heating problem. The heater wont turn off. As long as the car is on the heater is on full blast. The fans work and everything knob wise works but the heater is always on.


The air temperature valve electronic actuator positions the temperature door according to the temperature setting of the temperature control on the temperature control knob. For the full COLD temperature setting, the temperature control returns approximately 12 volts to the air temperature valve electric actuator. When the temperature setting is changed to full HOT, the temperature door is moved to the warm position and the output drops to about 0 volts. For a temperature setting in the mid range, the temperature door is positioned according to the voltage supplied through the temperature control switch.

  1. Disconnect the air temperature valve sensor.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Move the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  4. Using the J 35616-A , connect a J 39200 Digital Multimeter (DMM) between cavity 8 (CKT 733) of the air temperature valve motor connector and ground.
  5. Move the temperature control knob from the HOT position to the COLD position.
Does the voltage vary smoothly and continuously within the specified range?
0-12 V
Go to Step 4

Maytag MFI2569VEM chills to the point that everything in the refrigerator section will freeze, regardless of the temperature setting on the front panel.


these tipe of units have an electronic board that controls basicly everything thats your problem you need to replace the electronic board. some times a temperature sensor wired to the elect. board fails but most of the time the board is the problem

I have cleaned out the refrigerator and it still doesn't cool enough to freeze the ice and the bottom isn't cooling enough either even after putting the temperature up.What can I do next?


Have you cleaned off the fins at the bottom of fridg? look on back at bottom and bottom front. Take off covers and see if fins are dusty if so vacume off be careful not to damage fins.

F10 oven code frequently beeps,often after cooking is over and oven is coolind down at different temperature settings tempermental some times it works sometimes it does not.


The "F10" error code caused by the runaway temperature.
The first thing I would check is the resistance across the oven temperature probe (aka oven temperature sensor) terminals at the EOC (electronic oven control) plug.
It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.
If the resistance at the EOC plug is wrong, then measure the oven temperature probe resistance at the probe plug.
If it's wrong - replace the oven temperature probe. It's better to hardwire it, using a high temperature ceramic wire nuts.
If the readings at the EOC and at the oven temperature probe plug are different - check the wire harness between the oven temperature probe and the EOC.
If there is nothing wrong with the oven temperature probe resistance - replace the EOC.
