My iPod Touch is cracked at the top part of the screen I didn't know how much it will cost to fix it or how to fix it is a iPod touch 5th gen

it depends on which ipod it is ? 2nd/3rd/4th or 5th generation ? if you google "ipod screen replacement" there are many videos to show how its done

Your fu..ed cause these ipod touches are fragile and don't like falling and crashing to the ground.  I would suggest you purchase an In Case cover next time.
Chalk this thing up as a loss since it is out of warranty and buy you a 2nd Gen or 3rd Gen ipod touch.
If your a cheap bastard, then you can pay someone to crack this thing open and fix it for you, but the time involved might prove costly compared to getting a new unit.  Were such a throw away society now a days.

i have heard that if you take it into a apple stor they can fix it but im not suer on taht.. im dealing with the same problem.

If it is a first gen machine you HAVE to replace the front screen which I wouldnt do yourself as you are likely to damage the small ribbons holding the main boards together. So, you are better off taking it to a professional.
But I'm guessing from your description that you have a 2nd gen. This has the digitiser on the front glass. If the glass cracks then the digitiser becomes damaged.
Basically, you are not going to be able to fix it without spending money on it. The cracked touch screen needs to be replaced and then all will work fine. The screen for the 2nd gen can be bought fairly cheaply on eBay and is easier to fit yourself than on the 1st gen. There are videos on YouTube showing how to do it without wrecking the iPod.

my screen on my ipod touch is cracked from one corner to the other...it still works fine, but doesn'tlook very good. my limited warranty hasn't expired, but i don't have the apple care thing. I don't know what to do! please help.
