I have a Coleman Roadtrip XLE. The on/off knobs do not control the gas. The gas comes on FULL bore and give a LARGE flame.

The problem you're having could be the result of a faulty regulator. Replacing the Hose/Regulator Assembly should solve the problem. You can pick one up at any home center or hardware store that sell grills and accessories for about $30.00.

Hope this helped you and happy grilling. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

My Coleman roadtrip cooks way too hot. Is there a way to turn down the flow. We are burnig on low.

If you're cooking at the lowest setting and the flames are to high, you will need to replace the gas control valve for the burners. Coleman still stocks some parts for your model. Appliance Factory Parts carries a wider selection of parts. http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/

I hope this helps. Happy Grilling!!
