Open Question

Consolidated communications The tech support person I spoke to on the phone told me an icon would be on my computer screen. He claimed he had set up my router for wireless. I have no idea how to begin the process of signing in or anything else. In other words I do not think the man knew what he was talking about. Help!!

Change the Channel mode from mixed to B-G only....u bought a new N series Router ....thats something gr8..but ur NIC are still on B-G Technology compatible....so either to need N series NIC or u need to configure ur linksys to B-G mode only...so that it will resolve the compatibilty issue from ur NIC.....Hope ..u will be able to do it...or u can take the help of linksys to fix it in this way

SOURCE: Connecting a netgear wireless router to a 2wire

before you connect the netgear router to your 2wire modem, you have to get the modem configured first. you did not include the firmware version of your modem (firmware version is found at the UI, go to gateway.2wire.net, click on the system icon.) for firmware version less than 3.7, go to homeportal/management, click on configure services, uncheck enable routing, then click on submit. for version 3.7 or higher, go to homeportal/management, click on configure under broadband link, put a dot in disable pvc search, set VPI to 0 & VCI to 35, the connection type box should be direct IP, then click on submit. then go to configure services, uncheck enable routing box, then click submit. you will notice the broadband link on the 2wire modem turn orange/amber, then you have successfully set the modem to bridged mode. that way you can now connect the router according to manufacturer's instructions (or just read the manual for the netgear router....)

It sounds like you don't have the units connected properly. Make sure you have a cable(wired) from your ethernet card on your pc connected to a wired port on the router. Then plug your router from its yellow port into the modem. Make sure your modem is connected to its Internet interface. Plug in your modem and wait 60 seconds for it to power up. Then power up the router.
At this point you should be able to access the router with the supplied installation CD. Run the setup assistant and it will define your wireless network. When you are through you should have internet access through the wired network. When you are finished you should be able to use the wireless network assuming you have the card installed correctly and the software for the card correctly installed.

Remove the battery for five minutes. Phone will reset to factory defaults. If icons are still present, take it to a store that sells that brand. Usually a tech support person will help you out...

Scroll down to page #39 to where it says Use Voicemail and follow the instructions!! As per the service tech I spoke to on the phone to find this link, following these instructions will automatically erase your old voicemail unlock code as well as any as yet unheard messages.


Just in case anyone still has difficulty in finding the instructions.....



Set Up your VoicemailBefore your phone can receive voicemail messages, you must set up a 4-10 digit passcode and record a personal voicemail greeting.When you have set up your voicemail, all unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off.1. Press and hold the 1 key.2. Follow the system prompts to create a password and record a greeting.
Check your Voicemail

When you receive a voicemail message, a
notification with a voicemail message icon
appears at the top of your screen.
• At the voicemail notification, select Call to call
your voicemail number and follow the system
prompts to retrieve the message.
Select Ignore to clear the notification without
checking messages. The notification icon
remains on top of the screen until you listen to
the message

I have a sony ericsson w205 on contract 2day it just delited all my numbers i only have names but i can not ring or tex why and how can i get my numbers back


i have the same problem........i suggest returning the phone as i am going to do.....i know of 30 maybe more people that have this problem with this specific phone....i have phoned sony ericsson may times....spoke to may advisors area manegers etc...they have all told me to send it in for repairs....they will charge 9 pounds for them to fix it......what a joke aye....they deny all knowledge of selling this faulty phone and claim that it is down to the user that causes the phone to do this..... personally im thinking about complaining to trading standards or BSI...(brittish standards institute) they do not send you a new phone or a replacement model while it gets fixed...hope this helps.....

Phone wont turn on


Did either of you recently install the update for 755p from Sprint? Soon after I installed it (within a few days) my phone started that as well. I spoke to tech support at Sprint and they were zero help. I went to my local store and explained to the tech person there exactly what was happening and told them I thought the Sprint update caused it. The rep. agreed and they replaced my 775 with a new one as he said it could not be fixed. I think because I told them the problem was caused by the update then they were obligated to fix it (or I least I made them believe that).
