Question about Homelite Vintage Xl 101 Xl-101 Chainsaw 16 Inch Bar
I am trying to fix/repair my dads old xl101 chainsaw. I have bought a new set of points and a condenser for it. The problem I have is it has been taken apart and I have no idea how these wires are connected. I cannot find online a wiring diagram of how I should connect everything. So I am hoping someone can either instruct me or provide some kind of documentation on how to do this.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: IGNITION PROBLEM
Give Sam a call @ Hawkins and Milnor in Selbina Mo. Have you UT number handy, and on some homlites they used Wico ignition and some used Prestolite. The UT number should clear that up. They will have either set on hand and get them right out. Great people to work with.

The E used 2 different brands, WICO and Phalon. You might try an antique saw dealer or a general search on Goggle, but know what brand you have, you cant mix the parts

SOURCE: Need to find contact breaker
Hi marie hourig...
Set your gap between .18 and .20...if you do not have a feeler gauge to get the clearance right, then you can use a paper match book cover...it is approximatly the same thickness as you need.
