Problem for GE WBVH6240F Front Load Washer
Control Lock is on my front loader.

The control lock in on and I am unable to run my Front Load Washer. Please help me so I can wash clothes
I unpluggex my GE front loader washer wich is what we were told to do in order to have it reset itself well afetr i plugged it in said door locked, and it won't let me turn the power onor start it or anything. Plus when i turn the knob on the front only numbers one through five appear or three dashes like this ---. help i have clothes sitting in the machine.

ok, you are in the model selection part of the service mode. for 6240 I believe the model code is 3 select this and press start. normally to release control lock press and hold small I button by start button.
if model selection in incorrect it can still be corrected. only difference in models is cycles matching the labels. you can tell by the time indication for each cycle if it doesnt look right then check book inside top cover
