Re: Unable to text photos

Not helpful but can you tell me the name of that program? Much as I loath Windows Mobile, it really is a bad product, I'm stuck with it for work so need to make the best of it and that app sounds like something I'd use.

Re: Unable to text photos

Photos can be sent by MMS and e-mail but not SMS. If you want to send photos you will need to find out if the program supports MMS or if it only supports SMS. Look at the programs options to see if you can set it to use MMS. SMS is a very simple system, you can only send text with no formatting options and your messages can be no longer than 160 characters (although this is not entirely true, some carriers will transport a message over 160 characters but you cannot guaranty the phone/device you're sending to can receive it and if it does it may show the whole thing or may split it into 160 character messages, either way your carrier WILL charge every 160 characters, in full or part, as a separate message). As you haven't said what program it is that's about as much as we can say at this point so if this doesn't help message back.

Can i chat using my blackjack without having to log in to tha internet?

SMS (texting) and Chat are generic terms for two different means of communication from your phone.

When you "text" the message is sent to the receiving phone much like a regular phone call "over the air" cell to cell....It has nothing to do with the internet. When you chat you are using a software program and the internet to transfer the information from one phone to another. The term "chat" suggests yes you have to have an internet connection and will probably need a data package from your carrier as well.

Photos attached to Text Messages

YES THEY CAN!!!!!! To save a mms you first need to have the app downloaded on the g1... next you take the saved mms picture and send it to an e-mail which can then be downloaded to a computer. Once the photo is saved to the PC, you are able to manipulate it how you choose. The only way to prevent it is to AVOID downloading the mms saving app.

They might be on a different msg center number, check your phone is set to receive replies via any center number. Or see that it reads '**' under that setting.
