Sounds like fuel vaporization check the heat of the fuel pump it can be warm but not hot the fuel from the tank which is cold should be cooling the pump, check for air leaks or loose connections on inlet side of the pump if there is a leak on the pressure or outlet side of the pump it will be obvious. then check fuel the pump relay by swapping it with another relay.

What kind of car is it ? Fuel injected cars will not vapor lock. Most fuel pumps are located in the tank.I would have it pressure checked to make sure its pumping the correct psi for your make and model of car

Hi,
I think you will find the first answer is most probably the problem, have a close look to see if the Fuel line is either going above the engine, or close to the exhaust system on the engine, if it ran okay once it cooled down then this is the answer. Best Wishes. Malcolm.

Should this be a spark plug engine this can point to either the Distributor or even the coil Check the points 1st. then see if coil is hot this can also be down to the plugs & coil Leads.

Check for a clog in the fuel lines, when the car is not actively moving the gas settles letting anything that would clog ur lines would go right to ur pump and when u accelerate u pull it in to the smaller fuel lines and they clog

It appears you may have a bad ignition coil that cuts out after it gets hot. Not uncommon.

96 Benz ran out of gas other day, got it filled up & drove home (20 miles). Next day drove about 40 miles, left car running in park for about 15 min, when I left car was stalling like it was running o

You never leave a car running, as it will
overheat the Exhaust Converter
When you run out of fuel, you sometimes
ruin the Fuel Pump
It depends on gas to lubricate it,as strange as it sounds
Check fuel pressure & volume at the motor with a gauge

Bike leaves me stranded after 15 mins

Check your ignition coils. Sometimes they fail with an open circuit, this can sometimes close up when the machine is cold and open again when it heats up. So. it will start when cold and fail when it warms up.

After the car runs for about 15 mins it will die when driving or after sitting for a few min. Sounds like now spark when cranking over. If it sits awhile it will restart and maybe not die again for days.

some component in the wires is heating up-things wearout in older cars--its still gettin spark but inspec plug wires and distributer for wear-ignition module cud be failin--------fuel system may hav issues like the pump or regulator--------run a scan

Okay my car started having problems starting it had a quarter gas tank and had never gave me any problems. Never has been over heated just had temp gauge replaced transmission flush and perfect inspection....

try my favorite simple fix. Get some stp fuel treatment or whatever is common for your area, read the label and make sure it removes water from the gas tank/gas pour the entire bottle in then fill up the tank. let the car run for a few minutes drive it if possible. Your problem should clear up shortly.

Hi:
The battery light means that your Alternator is not charging the battery. Thankfully, your cars battery was fully charged, and I am guessing that you were driving during the day, because if you were using your headlights, you would have been in trouble.
Basically, a fully charged battery should read about 12.6 volts, and when your car is running, you should be able to measure about 14 volts across the battery, because that is the output of your alternator. You can get your alternator tested for free at a local auto parts store, such as Auto zone, as it is the most likely thing to change.

I would start with a fuel line psi test. then have your fuel acumulator.

http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford/CIS.html

check this out and see if it helps. It sounds like you are priming the psi up when cranking then it can go. but when you let it sit the pressure drops and has to build up again. I a not a VW person myself but love tinkering, so let me know how it goes.

the fuel is bad, check your fuel lines and put new fuel in. fuel does go bad if you leave it sitting too long, next time run your car for 15-30 min once a week to prevent this
