Question about Amana Easy Reach AFD2535DE Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
The ice is dirty every now and then. How do we clean the ice maker
Some models like yours came with a defrost control board and others came with a defrost timer. They should be found inside the fresh food compartment and behind the temperature control panel. You will need to inspect and let me know which you have. Unplug first. If the control board looks or does not look burned it could be bad. The timer can be turned clockwise until compressor stops and should remain stopped for about 25 minutes. and then turn itself back on. If these look good then we need to remove the rear panel inside the freezer and test the defrost element with one wire disconnected to check for continuity. Just to be sure the element has not burned out. The defrost thermostat is connected to the defrost element and will have open contacts inside it above 50 degrees.

SOURCE: NO ICE - IC6
Mine was slow-to-none in ice making for a couple of years. One day for the first time I used the built in water dispenser. The long copper line feeding water was full of air gaps. After I bled that out, it has been perfect ever since.

SOURCE: i have a AMA IC6
Having problemAMA IC6 Icemaker. Water leaking into tray as it is making cubes causing previous cubes to freeze together and to the bottom of the container. Trying to defrost to see if that helps. Any suggestions appreciated.

What you need is a new ice maker the front gear is not engaging the contacts, you can buy the front module only ( what u put the wire in to on the l & v contact ) but a whole new ice maker assy is the same price.

SOURCE: Water leak from ice maker
The fill line internal to the freezer is likely frozen up from the elbow inward.. When the icemaker calls for fill...pressure builds up on the plastic tubing causing it to pop out of the elbow. Check the tube inside the freezer by removing icemaker and running a long thin screwdriver or a rigid wire up into the tube until you feel ice or the plastic elbow outside.
Clear ice, if present, by squeezing hot water in from freezer side with turkey baster until cleared and water comes out back.

I've experienced this before, and have two solutions that helped. One is, boiling the water prior to putting them into the ice tray. And two, you can fill up your ice tray and then wrap it with aluminum foil. I've heard saran clear wrap also works, but I've used aluminum tin foil - and it helped. I hope this works for you. I've tried both of these solutions, and it made a difference. So I hope it works for you. Good Luck!
