I locked myself out of my laptop by changing my password and not remembering what is is. Is there a way I can get back into my laptop with only one account?

You're going to have to contact Acer to get a master password for your system. New Acer laptops are designed to where the password is stored in non-volatile memory, so if you forget the password, you can't reset it by dismantling the unit like previous laptops.

If you've forgot your login you could try the guest account. The username is 'Guest' (without the quotes) and there is no password. If that doesn't work then you may need to use Kon-Boot. Its pretty advanced but here is a tutorial. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/konboot-computer-prank-passwordbypass-tool/ The tutorial explains it as a prank but its a really useful program for when you forget your password.
Sorry about this, but forgotten password is an issue, Whats your operating system? usually when you put a password on, there will be options where you can put a hint just in case you forget. in any case you're still unable to remember your password. The only possible way is to perform a clean install of your operating system...
Did you try start the PC in safe mode & Administrator? Restart your PC, press F8 , Select safe mode with networking prompt, Open the user Administrator, Go to control panel> Users> select the user > change password for it.
