Question about Frigidaire 24 in. FDB510LC Free-standing Dishwasher
Sometimes when I use the Frigidaire Ultra Quiet brand Dishwasher, the wash cycle knob sticks. I can remedy the issue by simply giving it a slight turn to move the wash cycle along, but that it isn't right that the knob stick like that, right? I was going to pop open the lid and attempt to fix it myself, but figured I better consult experts first.
It's a quirk of the cycle timer. You can replace the timer ($) or live with it. Besides, a replacement might have the same quirk

Do you mean the timer or control dial sticks. If so then it may be the timer mechanism itself.
Make sure that when you are skipping a turn on the timer that the machine is actually performing that particular task of the cycle. For example if the timer gets stuck before the drain cycle, and you manually skip forward to it, that it actually drains the water out.
If so then it is most likely a worn timer mechanism which sticks.

Testimonial: "interesting theory. Just know it doesn't work, have had problems with everything we bought from Sears, and WON'T DO THAT AGAIN. Thanks for your help"
If bottom arms is falling of then the assemly is wrong. Pull eveyrthing out and put the arem in before the other parts. reassemble and twist the horseshoe piece till it locks. that should keep the arm in place

No longer "ultra quiet" huh?
A sound during certain cycles indicates a broken part. By the information provided sounds like a pump may be the problem. You may need to contact a service tech about this issue. If the appliance still under warranty, the service should be provided for free.
Every time when you hear noises (other than the normal ones) in the appliance, it indicates there is something wrong and it will worsen over time, so as soon you hear something is not ok, get assistance.

I have the same issue and it occurred around the same time as your post. Do you think there is a conspiracy? :-)

Tips for a great answer:
Good Morning friend, thanks for your inquiry!
From the information you have provided your Frigidaire dishwasher is sticking on the wash cycle. Do you mean the button is sticking? Or is it stuck on that cycle? If the button is stuck you may have an issue with your keypad and in order to help unstick the button I would push it down to see if that helps alleviate any tension.
If you dishwasher is stuck on the wash cycle I would recommend performing a reset and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for at least ten minutes. If you continue to have an issue with your cycles I would suggest having a professional out to properly diagnosis and replace any electrical components. I hope this information has been helpful. -Matt
