SOURCE: CAN I EAT A LEAF OFF OF AN ALOE VERA PLANT ; OR IS IT POISON ?

No! Do not eat.

Ingestion Dangers
The ingestion of aloe juice or latex may irritate the intestines when taken orally. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, aloe vera latex contains powerful laxative properties. Use of the aloin latex as a laxative may result in severe cramping and purging of the intestines. Misuse of aloin may lead to excessive electrolyte loss and has subsequently been banned by the Food and **** Administration for use in over-the-counter laxative medications as of 2002.

Are agapanthus toxic to animals - such as horse and cattle?

Saponins are present in the plant and could cause gastrointestinal irritation. This only occurs if the plant is eaten in large quantities. The question is if the agapanthus is toxic for a horse or cattle. The answer is yes. When livestock eat it they lose their appetite.

What does a groundhog like to eat

In the wild they eat foliage, nuts, grains, ferns, flowers, grass and fruit. Favourites are chickweed, dandelion, clover, plantains, asters and sorrel. They love juicy plants, cherries and blackberries. They also readily eat cultivated crops like peas, lettuce, beans, squash, broccoli, corn and soybeans. Fully mature groundhogs can eat a lot of plant matter -- more than a pound daily.

They are not completely herbiverous. They occasionally eat snails, june bugs, grasshoppers and small bird eggs.

If you plan to have one as a pet, be aware it needs a lot of space, will chew everthing in sight, doesn't like cuddling, and will hibernate in winter. In some States they are ******* as pets, so check that. You might also consider having a rabies shot as they can carry that.

Hope this helps.

What do beetles eat ?

"Beetles eat all kinds of food. Most are specialists in few kinds, but some, like ground beetles, eat lots of things. Most beetles eat plant parts, either leaves or seeds or fruit or wood. Many are predators on other small animals. Some eat fungus, and there are a bunch of species that eat dung. Sometimes the larvae eat different foods than the adults do."

How to get rid of mealybugs in plants, soil and pots?

Get a couple of ladybugs in, as they eat mealy bugs. and are good natural pest control.

If you've a pretty bad infestation, then get an insecticide containing "thiacloprid". But only use this on non-edible plants.
