Go by a local air conditioner supply house and ask them. Usually if they can't get the part they know where to go to get parts for home appliances like Dehumidifers. Take the fan motor with you they may have something on the shelf that will work.

My fan is not working on my DH4010B

Do you have power to the fan motor? If you do have power to it the motor needs to be replaced good luck trying to find one and if you do find one you will pay a lot for it. Buy a new dehumidifier they are cheap and disposable.

Fan stops spinning motor then overheats and shuts down unit-can i buy a replacement motor

If you'd like to price the cost of a new compressor motor and order one. Click on the following links.

http://www.partlinx.com/haier.asp

Once you price it, you may decide a new dehumidifier is in order.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

I just replaced the thermal fuse as described by several of your people for a fan motor on a Kenmore dihumidifier 580.54701400. The unit ran fine for about an hour and then stopped with a burning smell...

Your call on the $39 replacement replacing the whole thing.
did the TCO you put int have the same specs (temperature) as the one you replaced? I've replaced a lot of these and they'll keep running.
The burning smell points to a failing coil which creates the heat which opens the TCO. you already know how to get the motor coil out so I think the $39 options is better.

I have a Kenmore 54701 Dehumidifer that quit working is there any thing to look for or just throw it out and buy a new one

Is it not powering at all? Remove cabinet and check glass fuse on power supply board

Is it running but no water?
Check to see if fan is blowing; if not then thermosenser on fan motor blown

Fan and compressor running but no water? Maybe the room is already dry; if not than probably have coolant leak - not worth fixing

Blower fan is seized Kenmore 54501 Dehumidifier?

If the blower motor is siezed up, then you need to replace the motor.
You can have new bearings put in it, but by the time you get thru it will cost you about the same as a new motor and you won't have any warranty on the old motor, you will have at least a one year warranty on the new one.

Fan does not come on

I've seen abunch of these. The fan motor has a fuse wound into the windings. It cannot be replaced you need a new fan motor. The motors seem to run hot normally, leading to a short lifespan.
I suggest buying a better brand unit.
