Re: washing machine

I think the automatic water valve is not doing its job, may be blocked or just broken.
I have the same problem, & am going to remove it tonight to clean it out......

Re: washing machine

There could be several causes for this. he timer could be faulty and is calling for water in all cycles or you might have a bad pressure switch, which controls the water flow.

Hotpoint WDL520P Washer dryer Filling up with water as it should during the drying phase untill the end of the cycle when it fills up entire drum with water constantly during this cycle it is constant

The other logical point is that it can be related to a faulty output or error from the program controller output. In some cases choosing an alternate program cycle can confirm this case of faulty cycle patterns.

The machine fills with water during drying cycle and does not fill for the wash cycle

First, did you know that this machine steam dries clothes? The first thing it does on the dry cycle is to wet the clothes which it then heats to dry with condensation. There are better answers regarding this feature on fixya. But assuming that the dry cycle is working as well as it ever does, it appears that your wash cycle is not functioning properly. I would need more info to figure out why it is not filling with water / working at all.

this may sound silly but check the waste outlet pump electrically, some models are wired up so if the pump fails the water will not enter the machine, this works on the theory that if it fills up it can not empty also check the solenoids for open circuit electrically, double check the water supply to the machine, it may have been fine but you could have kinked the pipe placing the machine back where it should go?
