The transistors under the charger are excessively heated and 0333 4332410 are not capable of proving the proper power required to switch on the laptop.Best solution is to change your charger.if you try to repair it, it will probably result in battery quickly drain issues

No Power on Hp 620 Laptop

If the battery does not charge then the problem is likely the charger.
If you can borrow a charger instead of buying a new one you can find out for sure if the problem is the inside the laptop its self or the charger.
Remove the battery and hold down the standby button for a whole minute to drain any remaining power in the model. replace the battery , attach the new/borrowed charger lead and see if any activity happens ie, sound, lights...ect. This is the first thing someone does in a repair shop and its to diagnose where the issue is comming from.

Try wiggling the plug around a bit to see if you can get contact. You could also try borrowing a power supply if you know someone with the same machine to isolate the problem.

Asus p5lp-le no display

If it seems like the computer completed the boot process but the screen is blank, try the steps below.

The problem will either be the monitor or the video card inside the computer. Connect another monitor to the computer to isolate the problem. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed monitor displays and works ok, then your original monitor is bad and the video card is good. If the Borrowed monitor does not work then the video card inside the computer is bad.

If the computer did not complete the boot process then try the steps below.

When you plug in the power cord is there any lights whatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of the power cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear the DvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for a second or two? If so the computer is trying to boot or may have booted, but the screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with the laptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issue when you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous. Most times the problem is with the memory or Video Card. Count the Blinking Lights or Beeps and take note of their pattern (1 Long or 1 Long followed by 2 Short).

Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, then Press and Hold the power button for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in and hit the power button to see if it boots.

Maybe your memory is bad or the memory slot is bad.

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of the memory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x on it with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the next memory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set it aside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If it boots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and put it into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

Dim green light on power supply blinking

If the Power supply LED dims and flickers its either your motherboard circuit has been cut or there is a short in the laptop. The AC adapter is not the cause.

Try this:
Remove the battery, then press power button to drain all the current, then re-install battery and plug to adapter.

If that doesn't work, then it's most likely the motherboard.

Remove the battery and try again.

If the laptop works ok with the charger connected (with battery taken out), then the battery needs to be replaced.

Refer to user guide on how to remove the battery.

Hello.

The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.

Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.

If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.

Hope this helps.

1.have u tried using a new charger? or atleast borrow someone's charger for the same model and try 2.how bad is ur battery. if it is ok enuf to start the system can u try that once 3. try removing the battery pack and disconnect the cable for power and press down the power ON button for 30 seconds and then replace just the charger and then start the machine keep the battery aside 4. did ur niece have to yank the cable out when she finished using the computer? maybe the joint where the connector had to go in was broken 5. was there any reason for voltage fluctuation(lightning rain etc) maybe the junction where the power reaches the motherboard was burnt 6. If all these are fine then ur voltage controllers must have blown.
4 and 5 can be rectified if u have soldering experience... 6th one needs more better tech support and most chances are when u get to a techie he would ask u to replace the mobo

I have an ASUS X83V. All of a sudden the charger that came with the computer stopped working and the computer went dead. I purchased a compatible charger for the computer and it worked for about a week...

From the information you gave, my guess is that there's a problem with the power supply section of your laptop, or the chargers that you're buying aren't actually compatible... but it's more likely that it's the first case. If the laptop is under warranty, you should contact ASUS and get them to repalce the motherboard. If not, you could spend a lot of money replacing power cords every week. Good luck!

MY LABTOP BATTERY IS NOT CHARGING

sounds like it could be one of three things 1. either the charger is broken try plugging it in in different places or borrow someone else's to try, if it works buy a new charger 2. the battery is broken, try your charger on someone else's laptop and if it works and their battery works in your computer then its the battery. replace battery 3. it could be the power board if both your battery and charger work in another computer then power-board is shot. you can get it replaced but it is often cheaper to buy a net-book.
