Get a load test on both. There are 2 components to checking the system voltage and amperage. You can have good voltage but low amperage which will cause issues. 12.75v is low. A battery fully charged should be closer to 13.8v and charging should be around 14.4v

Tip

My lights dim in my car, is this bad and what can I do to stop this from...

Lights dimming in your car is an indicator of a low voltage problem. This can be caused many problems. You might want to have your system checked out to make sure it is running smoothly. Low voltage can be a serious problem. Low voltage will cause an amplifier to put out a DC voltage rather that AC, which can damage your speakers. Low voltage can also cause damage to an amplifier by not providing enough power to the amp to run properly. You can add batteries and/or capacitors to the system to help with voltage problems. Please consult with a professional to make sure you get what you need for your specific setup.

Low voltage

You have overloaded the generator and have blown a capacitor, resistor or similar item that will only allow half the voltage output to the recepticals. I know I have done this too.

95 montero transmission shift problems + overheating + battery not charging

The first step is to see if the gauge are correct, low voltage can cause many problems, the first step is to make sure the coolant is full so check radiator, this is done when cold, if full then start the engine with a meter on the battery and watch the voltage, have someone put it into drive while holding brake. if voltage on meter starts to drop then give a little gas to rev engine and see if voltage goes up, if it does then you may have to low an idle but if the idle is ok then alternator is bad. also have the battery tested to make sure its good, just because it starts the truck does not mean its good. the next thing is to look at the overheating problem. if the cooling system is full and it runs hot then that must be looked at,when the truck is starting to overheat we assume it is due to gauge, but this sounds like it may be low coolant or low voltage or idle is to low because when you put it in park it drops. start with these checks and let me know the results. good day.

Good heat pump. I put a t-stat and the unit came on. took it off and put it back on the unit would not say a thing. What do you think the problem is.

You should check the low voltage fuse on the control board. check power to unit and check to see if you have low voltage.
