Check if the sound is muted. You can also check the driver if it is outdated. You can use RadarSync to check. You just press on scan and it will do the thing for you. The scan is free but the update (automatic) needs you to subscribe for a minimal fee.

open media player
then click tools then options and file types make sure all file types are checked
then click devices to see that your speakers are in there
Thats where you'll find all media settings
Or if you have an older version i would upgrade to player 9 or 11

Depending on your sound controller....
Be sure all levels in the "Master Volume Control" are turned up --

I cant hear the sound when i play movie or music


The issue could be with audio settings of your laptop or with the sound application that you are using to play the audio such as Windows Media Player.

Check if you are able to listen to audio in another application such as Real Player.

is it movie or music?
if it is movie use g-spot to find out which codec is missing

reinstall your sound card drivers.. i recommend uninstalling them, rebooting and then reinstalling ..good luck!

Cant hear songs


It sounds like your headphone/hold cable is faulty. Try plugging it into a sound device with a docking bay. If no sound comes out of there either then it's a faulty logic board.
