Cant hear any sound on media players
Check if the sound is muted. You can also check the driver if it is outdated. You can use RadarSync to check. You just press on scan and it will do the thing for you. The scan is free but the update (automatic) needs you to subscribe for a minimal fee.

open media player
then click tools then options and file types make sure all file types are checked
then click devices to see that your speakers are in there
Thats where you'll find all media settings
Or if you have an older version i would upgrade to player 9 or 11

Your sound control is likely turned off or turned all the way down.
Depending on your sound controller....
Be sure all levels in the "Master Volume Control" are turned up --
