hello, here is a link to order the part your looking for its a web sight that has the ignitor for your kenmore 911-3218811 it also shows a picture of the ignitor so you can compair it to the one your looking to replace.

try checking the voltage commimg into the dryer outlet make sure you have 208/220/240 volts at the two hot terminals and 120 volts from ground to each of the hot terninals if only getting 120 to one terminal you have a bad breaker or fuse

If the universal remote is compatible with a milllivolt gas control valve receiver or it comes with a millivolt receiver that can be wired into the heater, then it should work. If it doesn't do or have any of the aforementioned, then, no it probably won't work. The hand held remote and the receiver frequency have to match or be capable of being reprogrammed.
