I have a tandem pacer 2400 lawn mower, my gardener was cutting fairly wet grass, it tripped the power and now does not start, even left it for a few hours ? thank you Vanessa

have the lead to the mower tested and tagged
if there is any insulation problems in the lead , then the rcd breaker will trip from earth leakage problems

wet grass is very heavy to cut so the motor may have overheated
press the reset button if it has one or have the electrician doing the test and tag of the cord also check the motor

moisture and power do not mix so electric mowers are only suitable for dry cutting

Went thru mower has new battery and silinoid universal type, fuse good,I turn key but will not turn over.Bumped starter from car and motor turned over, starter and motor work so what is wrong?

Not sure of total problem but I would start by cleaning the inside of battery cables. If I understand you can jump the battery and the unit will start so the battery cables may be dirty and not getting enough power from the small battery in mower.

Toro wheel horse 13-38xl lawn mower won,t start, makes buzzing sound when key is turned on,checked solenoid with screw driver but will not start motor, tuned pulley under motor and wheel on top of motor...

If you crossed the two battery terminals on the solenoid and the engine did not turn over, I would check the battery terminals first to see if they are tight. Then check the terminals at the solenoid to see if they are tight. If all of this is tight and you are sure you have 12 volts at the solenoid, then your starter is bad.

I have a craftsman with a kohler magnum 18hp. If i put a battery charger on my battery it dont charge i can turn the key and it wont roll over. If i jump my lawn mower and it running i can turn the key all...

Hi, if your battery wont charge you will need to replace it and when you do you need to check that the mower is charging by checking the battery voltage with a multimeter while the mower is running. It should be around 14 volts. Regards Phil.

How do I get a new solid state ignition. My crruent leaf blower is not getting any spark

Hi, most lawn mower repair shops either will have those in stock or can order them for you. Its a common item, or you can go to and order it online. Before repalcing the coil, remove the kill switch wire from the coil, then check for spark again. you could have a defective kill switch.

Will not start< electrical problems.

voltage isn't the problem here. You are correct in using the 12volt battery. However, what you need is more power and power comes from the amperage. Make sure the battery you have, has sufficient CCA (cold cranking amps) for your new starter. Try removing the battery cables and jumping from your car. Make sure you ground the black lead on your car (not hooking the black cable up to the battery directly) if that doesn't start your mower, you have a different problem all together possible being the new stater and hopefully not compression problems steming from the intake and exhaust valves. There are typically saftey switches to shut down or prevent the motor from running. Easy trouble shoot, if the starter kicks over, it's not a saftey switch.

Mowing blade turning the wrong direction

I think you did diagnose the problem. A DC motor will run backwards if the wires are switched around and polarity is reversed. Try switching the wires
