If you have overclocked the computer then put everything back to standard, that can do it. Try reinstalling windows, and when asked repair the windows already installed. That will reverse any windows data corruption. Remove and reconnect the hard drive data cable, a loose connection can cause a SMART alarm. Download seatools and run the long test, it is a better way of checking if the alarm is correct. Switch the computer off for an hour, sometimes the SMART test just goofs off for no reason. Only then do you **** your underwear and buy a new hard drive.

Lenovo laptop is not able to start since it tells that no bootable connections - insert bootable and press any key

Hi,

Follow these steps below.

1. Turn the computer on.
2. Keep tapping F12 after pressing the power button.
3. Advance Boot Menu will come up.
4. Using the arrow keys, select HDD as the device to boot from.
5. Press Enter.
6. If the computer boots up normally, we fixed the issue.

If not, it means that the computer no longer detects the HDD. It needs to be reseated and after reseating the HDD it should boot up normally. If still the computer cannot boot, then, replace the HDD as it already has gone bad.

hi,

This is what you are going to do, insert the disc inside the drive then restart the laptop, keep on tapping F12, then you will see there a list of option that says Boot from HDD, ODD, LAN you need to choose ODD then press enter, remember, there will be a message that will appear asking you to press any key immediately to boot from ODD, you need to press any key immediately once that message appear, then it will come up as windows is loading files, choose restore from factory default or initial backup then you will see there different partitions, choose disc 0 partition 1 then click start or OK, that will reinstall your OS to the factory default.

Hope this will help...
