If you are transferring Music files from iTunes, click on the individual track and click on "Get Info," if you're on a MAC or properties if you are on a PC. Generally iPods can play music if they are under the AAC code. So if you are in iTunes right click on the track and scroll and click down to "Create AAC version." This will take a few seconds and only then can that track be put onto your iPod.

How to add songs to Ipod

This is a tip explaining exactly how to add songs to your Ipod.

Firstly, you need to have Itunes installed on your computer. You can download Itunes for free from the following Website. It is always best to use the most updated version of this software.

http://www.apple.com/downloads/

Once you have downloaded Itunes, and installed it, we can continue.

Ok, if you already have MP3 files on your computer, and just want to add this songs to your Ipod, we first need to import all these files to Itunes. Here is how we do this.

To import songs in MP3 format which is already on your computer:

  • Open the Itunes software you installed.
  • From the iTunes File Menu click "Add to Library".
  • Now you need to browse to the folder where the music is located and select it.
  • The files will now automatically be imported to Itunes.
After the installation of Itunes, you need to plug you Ipod into your computer USB port using the connector cable which came with your ipod.
This is the how the USB port on your computer looks like.

This is what the connector cable looks like.

When you have plugged in your Ipod to the computer, Itunes will automatically open.

Now you will be able to see your Music Library(On the left), as well as your Ipod(On the right)

Al you need to do now is to drag the songs you want to copy to your Ipod into the ipod window on the right.

Charge your ipod after you have copied the songs, and start listening.

Kind regards
Andrea

I have iPod Nano 2Gb . If I play music each 10sec music stop and start new song. I can not arrive to eliminate this mistake.

This worked for me.

1. Locate the actual song file. You can check this in iTunes, use the 'Get info' command, in the summary tab, there's a 'where' item at the bottom. Mentally note that this is 'file#1'.

2. Once you've find the file, make a copy of this file in some other folder. Or maybe even on the desktop. Mentally note that this is 'file#2', which is a copy of 'file#1'. Do not rename.

3. Go to iTunes, and delete the problematic song. If iTunes ask to remove the file, click 'yes'. If iTunes doesn't ask, manually remove the file from the original folder. You are removing 'file#1'.

4. Once this is done, move back the copied file, ie 'file#2', to location where 'file#1' was.

5. Add the song back into iTunes. iTunes will treat it as a new song. You will lose some data like Rating or Play Count. You might need to add some details like track number and so on.

6. Sync your iPod. Done.

You have to do this steps to every problematic song. Tedious, yes. But it's better than the need to re-encode the files.

How can i erase songs from my ipod

1. Connect your iPod to the computer. You cannot delete files from the iPod directly, and must use the iTunes interface to add and remove content from the iPod. Connect the device to the computer by plugging the long end of the sync cable (which came bundled with your iPod) into the data port of the iPod and then plugging the USB side into your computer.
2. Launch iTunes. Once you have plugged in your iPod, launch the iTunes program. You may need to wait a few moments while the program locates your iPod. You will know that your iPod has been located because a small icon that looks like your iPod will pop up on the left side of the iTunes program.
3. Click on your iPod to show the Device menu and then scroll over to the center pane where the music is. Find the song(s) you wish to delete. Left-click on the song (or album) you want to delete and then right-click.
4. Select "Remove" from the submenu. A message will pop up asking if you only want to remove it from the iPod or whether you want to remove it from the iPod and iTunes. If you want to keep a copy of the file(s) on your computer, select the option that removes the file only from your iPod. Once the file has been removed, go back to the iPod menu and select "Sync" from the center pane. This will remove the song from your iPod.

How do i download my own songs to the ipod

download the latest version of itunes from here
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Then install the program.
Copy your music over to itunes either by copying your CD's or importing your music that you already have on your computer, you can do this by going to File>add folder to library or add file to library and go to where your music is and import. This will convert your music to be played in itunes and to be recognised by your ipod. Once you have done this, create a playlist of music that you want on your ipod. Go to File>new playlist. and rename the playlist to a name more suitable. Then select which songs you want on your ipod by righ-clicking the song and send to playlist, select the playlist that you just created. Once you have your playlist and are happy that you have all of the songs that you want, plug your ipod into the computer, itunes will pick the ipod up and load the necessary drivers for it. You will notice a little picture of your ipod on the left hand side of the screen, click on it then click on and update your ipod with your playlist.

I hope this helps

Ipod to pc music play

You can only transfer music from an ipod to a computer if they were purchased through itunes.

If that's the case, right click on your ipod's name under devices. Then click Transfer music.

Ipod

Itunes will ask you if this ipod comes from another computer (since you formatted) and ask you if you wanna erase all thats on it and synchronise with the new llibray (probably empty !). You say NO. Then you synchronise manually by unchecking the box that says to synchronise automatically and thenn u check the box that says to mange manually the ipod. By doing that you're music that was on you're ipod will stay there, and you can coopy any new music towards you're ipod with itunes.
