Not if u no what you are doing... to take out a back axle properly you need to remove the freewheel.. and you need a specialty tool for that..take it to a shop and have it done right.

SOURCE: Need to adjust the gears on 18 speed Next

Since you don't specify the make or model a manual is not likely to be recommended for you. However, gears adjustments are sort of generic within limits. Try this link and find your shifters...

SOURCE: rear axle assembly for triax 26inch crimson 21

I think what you want is a technical document for one of the many Shimano rear hubs.
Somewhere on the hub there should be a model number indicated. Go to the Shimano site and look around for it.

A professional Bike Shop would be able to help you out with service or repair and they would have the special tools you might need.

This link will take you to an excellent source of those tools and advice on how to service most anything on a bike.

SOURCE: I took apart the back wheel of the bike and now

I take it your bicycle has a coaster brake. Can you tell me what brand the hub is? It is probably stamped on the brake arm that attaches to the frame.

LOST KEYS CBR IOOORR

I had the same problem with a older honda magna. I took the ignition assembly apart, and got the actual ignition out ( part where the key goes in) and nothing else. I then took it to a locksmith and he gave me two keys that turned the ignition within minutes. He said there was a number on the ignition that determined the code he used. I would try doing this before spending that kind of money. Remember it has to be a locksmith not the dealer. Good Luck
