Engine does 'nt run on idle speed in a forklift truck

You may have to change the needles in the carb or a basic rebuild. also check your idle screw to see if it vibrated back to too low a setting
hope this helps

The motor does not respond on full trottle, half and up it just like chokes itself

You need to adjust the high speed mixture on the carburetor. When you say it 'chokes itself' you imply it is too rich.

What is h and l screws for we have been moving them around to try make the saw tick over as it keep cutting out

"H" is high speed and "L" is low speed. Turn both screws in full, then unscrew them one and a half turns each. Start the saw, you may have to adjust the trottle screw to keep it running. Then adjust the "L" screw a little, in or out, with the trottle screw until you are happy with it ticking over. then adjust the "H" screw to get it to run full. You need time and patience. Stephen.

I have an echo srm2501. could you tell me the standard settings for the low speed trottle screw and the high speed screw

On these little carbs, a good starting point (before fine tuning the carb) is about One and one-half turns out (counterclockwise) from a lightly seated postition. That should allow the unit to start and you can fine tune from there.

My speed is limited. I can't drive faster than 30 mph. It happened after winter. If durig drive I do a trottle from half to fullI, engine is suffocatatig and don't have full power. Is it the truth to clean...

It sounds like your fuel line is clogged. Check to see if there is a filter on the fuel line and change it if there is. If not, take off the petcock valve (under the tank) and clean it out. Good luck.

My craftsman 19.5 b&s engine has developed a Rabit jumping problem. becoming more difficult to control the speed with the clutch/brake. I also notice that the internal control when going downhill is...

I don't know if you have a hydrostatic or gear drive trans, but you should be able to go slower either by shifting to a lower gear or by moving the hydro drive lever to a slower speed. Always run the engine at full speed. Slowing the mower down by slowing the engine is extremely hard on the motor. It need the higher rpm's to keep it cool and not have to work as hard. There is a brake adjustment on the left rear axle. There is a brake disc with lever and a nut holding it on. Turn the nut clockwise about a half turn at a time to adjust the brake and check it. You don't want to get it too tight or it won't roll.
