Start with the basics: Check the status of the breaker and the electrical connections under the toe kick panel. If the unitis getting power, You may want to call the dishwasher helpline to see if it is a recalled model. A free replacement of the control panel circuit board is available for many of these, but if the power switch is the culprit, you will need to buy a replacement button.
I have written a guide to help with drainage issues. The helpline number is near the top. It is here. Thanks!

This sounds like an open circuit problem.First thing first, check all connections that you can in the plug and switch area. If they are all good and tight I would suggest that you may have an internal break in the power supply cord. This normally happens near the plug or handle, unless the cable is on the floor and liable to be trodden on. The quick way to check this is to plug tha machine in and lock the switch in the on position. Now CAREFULLY wiggle the cable along its length starting from the machine end and working your way towards the plug. If this causes the machine to turn on and off you can try and pin point the break. Then unplug and cut the cable back to that point and rewire.
Also, make and model number might help and I can check if there are any common problems. Is it Bosch as pictured, as they are good machines and rarely have problems other than wear and tear.

Testimonial: "Good suggestion as a first test of the problem."
Hi and welcome to Fixya. Based on your post, I would start by first shutting off the breaker. Then removing the kick plate ( access panel at the bottom ) and checking the wiring at the junction box for the dishwasher 120vac supply line. Remove the murret's and visually inspect the wire for "resistance burn" and strip the wires back and install new fastener's if necessary to repair. This is actually quite common to find a wire connector come loose due to improper fastening and once the unit is in use for a while the connections heat & cool, become loose from normal operating vibrations and burn up from all the added heat caused by "resistance". The end result is no power to the controls. Check it out and post back what you find. Thanks for visiting "fixya" and please take a moment to rate the solution/suggestion provided here for you. Good luck. Macmarkus :)

Check the motor control board for dry joints, poor contact, signs of excessive heat around plugs/pins
I would try new brushes again or thoroughly inspect whether they are contacting the commutator.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.
