It should begin charging as soon as it's plugged into power. Check the AC adapter to make sure it hasn't come partially unplugged in the middle. If that's still secure, try a different outlet. If it's still not charging, you may have a faulty AC adapter.

Getting error e004 on te-2200

Try this:
Turn key to PGM (program) mode
Turn power off at the wall socket

Hold down RECEIPT FEED button (keep your finger on it)

Turn power back on and wait 5 seconds before taking your finger off of the receipt feed button (the paper may feed out. This is normal).

The LLLLLLLLLL part of the display should change to FFFFFFFFFF.
Press SUBTOTAL once and wait for the printer to issue a receipt.
Turn key back to REG mode and try it. You may need to sign on using a clerk button or a clerk code if you use one.

Battery not charging !!!. replacement of new batter also has the same problem. and old batter suddenly started charging by meddling with the cable for once. and then again the same problem. would it be...

Looks like either the power jack of your adapter is experiencing a bad connection. Check if the power adapter's cable near the jack which plugs into the laptop is not severely bent.If this is the case, then you will need to replace the power adapter.

If this is not the case, check the DC socket where you plug the power jack into the laptop. This socket might be loose or broken. If this turns out to be the case, then your laptop needs to be disassembled in order to re-solder or replace this socket, depending on its condition.

Won't power up; replaced batter, won't charge

If under warranty, get repaired by manufacturer. Usually no power points to the power socket in the unit where the wall plug/power supply plugs in. Could also have a blown fusible link, bad charging components on the motherboard, etc. If you are handy, you could remove the screen, keyboard and shell and examine the motherboard, check continuity in the power socket. Look for burn chips, cold solder joints, etc. Cheap replacement parts and even repair services can be found on Ebay.

I cannot find where to swithc from battery to powercord on my notebook

Hi,
You dont have to manually switch from battery to power cord. When ever you plug in your power cord it charges your laptop batter as well as powers your laptop automatically. Once the battery is fully charged, it powers only your laptop then. And when you unplug it, the laptop drives power from battery.
To see the location of the power socket in your laptop, refer the manual.
Please come back and rate my solution if it turns to be helpful for you or also if you need more clarification. Thnx

My lattitude laptop (3 years old) now "cant find charger" -only will work if wall-connected

its a common thing to happen to these laptops

there is a chip on the main board that tells the laptop to charge battery or to use main power or to use batter no power conected, these chips jam or hmm burn out so to speak, when they go they go, to repair them u need a new main board complete disaster, but happens to alot of laptops at this age. hope this helps in some way.

check your batter status to see if it is charging, just to make sure its not battery.

My blackberry is not switching on

Open the back cover and clean the contacts with DRY CLOTH.

Make sure the BB and battery contacts are all line up.

Close the cover.

Use the wall charger to charge the BB for 2+ hours.

DO NOT use the USB data cable to charge your Blackberry.

When the PC/Laptop/Mac go to power saving/SLEEP mode it will cut off the charge to the Blackberry.

Plug the power pack in a different wall socket and it the Blackberry charge.

Try resetting the video output. Follow the steps below:

  1. Before changing cables, make sure the PLAYSTATION 3 is turned off using the main power switch on the back of the PLAYSTATION 3 (the 0 side is pressed down).

  2. Unplug the power cord of the PLAYSTATION 3 and television (or display) from the wall socket.

  3. Make sure the AVI cable is connected to the [AVI OUT] port on the back of the PLAYSTATION 3 system.

  4. Connect the other end of the AVI cable into the [AVI Input] port of the TV or display monitor.

  5. Plug the PLAYSTATION 3 and television (or display) back in to the wall socket.

  6. Turn the main power switch on the back of the PLAYSTATION 3 back on (the line on the power button is now pressed).

  7. While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the front of the system), hold down the touch-sensitive On/Off button on the front of the system until the system goes into standby mode again . (So the light cycle would go from: red light to --> green light --> then back to red light) This will ensure that you have held down the On/Off button long enough to reset the Video Output Settings.

  8. Turn ON the PLAYSTATION 3 and once the system finishes powering up, the Video Output Settings will automatically reset to the standard resolution (or detect the current display output settings of your TV/monitor).

Thank you for using fixya!

How to get the ac adapter cord to work

You plug one end into the mains and the little end into the back of the laptop and off you go. If that does not work you check that the fuse is ok in the plug top and that there is power at the wall socket. If they are both OK then the power supply has failed and you need a new one

Can you use both 120 and 240 power

Canada is 120. U.K. is 240. This is only for the adapter (large block between PC and wall outlet). This adapter changes A.C. current from wall to D.C. current for laptop. If power adapter is from Canada.  You must buy a different power adapter.  These should be available in U.K. Bring old cords and block to computer store so you get the right plug and voltage.
