Question about Computers & Internet
I took apart my Dell N7110 laptop to replace the AC power plug and ever since then my camera and microphone do not work. Webcam Central says to plug in a supported webcam. I checked the connection for the camera that is by the cooling fan and it is connected properly. Where else is a connection for the camera?
Check if the camera driver is updated or not. You can use RadarSync if you don't want to go through all the manual processes. That would save you time.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

open your my computer, click on "c" the system will tell you the information is hidden, click on the link and open up the operating system and look in the drivers or there in C and se if you can find you web cam driver, when you find it you might have to force the opening of the driver to install, and once you do that plug your web cam in and see if the system see's it and installs the drivers for the cam, if you installed the driver origanally witht he web cam installed you will have to remove the web cam and unistall the driver and re install it and then plug the web cam back in, and that should help correct the problem.

Sounds like the sound card on your laptop may be bad. Your laptop may have an integrated sound card on the motherboad or a seperate sound card. As part of the motherboard you have to get a new motherboard. First check your drivers and go through the trouble shooting section.

I had thesame problem on a brand-new Dell laptop. The solution is to intall IDT STAC9228 Audio Driver (file R204473.exe), which can be downloaded from Dell web site (http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R204473.EXE). This solved my problem with not having mic when using Skype.

In the page below you can enter your operating system and other information and find the drivers for you webcam.
If the drivers won't help you try installing a webcam program on your laptop such as "Youcam" that will make your webcam work.
