Hello. Thanks for choosing Fixya. The reality is that the only place that can check on your passport is at a Post Office in the States, or an embassy. Other than that you can check on line at this web address http://travel.state.gov/passport/status/status_2567.html

SOURCE: how to set an appointment
To get an appointment, you have to:
1. Fill up the passport application form, which you can get from the DFA office. There is no need to attach a passport-sized picture because DFA will take your picture for you when you start processing.
2. Line up at the door and wait for your turn to show your form to the person at the Information Desk. Your form will be stamped with a date and time for your scheduled processing.
3. Make sure that you had your form stamped with your schedule because you will need to show this on your next visit so that you will be prioritized. Now, you can go home or gather all the other requirements that you need. The supporting documents are found at the back of the form

Click here --> DFA Appointment
You will be directed to the page where you can set an appointment with DFA. Any Filipino anywhere in the Philippines should set an appointment on the website before going to any office of DFA. That's the new rule now.
But if you want to talk to DFA, just dial (632) 556-000 (mon-fri) 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
or you can visit their website @ http://dfa.gov.ph/main/
You can find the appointment button at the right side of the screen together with their contact number if you have some inquiries.
