Question about RCA OPAL M4001 MP3 Player
I have taken the adivice desriped within the solution pertaining to my sitaution, and still am unable to delete old music and install new music... I really need help, I am being told that the copy can not be replaced due to an open application using the file, however I don't have any other applications open when using my Opal. Please respond as soon as possible. Thank you, Music Hunter
You need to change to mode so that the device is recognized as a regular USB device. This will give you access to all the files on the thing. See this site for more info: http://www.insignia-products.com/t-MTP%20and%20MSC%20Mode%20Configuration.aspx Basically, you need to go to you device manager. Find the OPAL device under Portable Devices. Hit properties. Select Update Driver. Manually select the driver from the list and use the USB Storage Device driver. This should fix most of your delete and creation problems.
