SOURCE: zanussie essential 1400 smell of mould can't

Run a full wash cycle using 1/2cup baking soda in the water(full cup for large capacity washers)--won't harm clothes--DO NOT ADD detergents or softeners with baking soda.-- If that doesn't do it- run full wash cycle with 1/2cup of Lime Away. DO NOT ADD LAUNDRY OR DETERGENTS OR SOFTENERS when using Lime Away. Let cycle thru full rinse with the CLEAN WATER ONLY. Air out your washer by leaving the lid open after every use. A couple hours of fresh air may be helpful in the future. Oh! Vinegar can be used for odor, but, not recommended for well water users. Made mine a different kind of stinky.

How do i fix my dryer

Check and see if the motor is turning when you start it up. If it does then you have a broken drive belt which is common with any dryer.

I have a Zanussi ZTE 285 dryer which runs for 30 seconds and stops, the time to run will go to 0.

I'd get a tech in there to fix your door, since that probably messed up the timer internally.

I have a zanussie jetsystem 1600 Err 40 keeps comingn up. I've just cleared out the filter behind the little flap in the bottom let hand corner, but I can't get the machine to do anythng and i've got...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Have you checked the operation of the drain motor itself? If not here is part of my guidance notes for filter and motor.
------------
SWITCH OFF POWER
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Good luck!

Zanussi 7102 won't start. Power is ok. Condenser tank full light remains partially on even when tank is removed. When startbutton is pressed condenser full light illuminates fully. Water pours out pipe...

Pat, Have you found a solution to this yet? I have got exactly the same fault today ! Having taken the top & left side of the dryer off, I found what looks like a broken drive belt - not the main drum drivebelt which is fine, but a shorter one (about 18cm diameter loop) with no obvious place for it to have come from. Any clues would be appreciated. Dave (drdave@fsmail.net)

Dryer powers up but won't start - smell of electrical burning. Is it the motor bushes? zanussi TC7103W

Electric dryers usually have a motor with a switch that prevents the heating element from being powered until the motor is spinning. In series with this are limit switches to prevent overheating if there is too much lint or too little air flow around the heating element. Also, the motors are induction or brushless. So the smell is coming from the heating element burning off some lint nearby as it reaches the high limit temperature and shuts off. This can be due to two conditions if we can assume the motor is running (has a switch that is closing to power the heating element). The most likely condition is that the drive belt is off the pulley or broken and the drum is not turning. You will be able to tell this easily by sounds or by opening the door to see the drum slowing down. If that's not it, examine the blower which forces air through the drum. There are a lot of variations, so look for air intake and drum exhaust ports that can be clogged with a sock, lint, etc.
