When you installed the service pack 3 it did not include a driver that matched your soundcard. You just need to reinstall the driver for your soundcard. If you don't know what driver you need you can download drivermax to find it for you. This is a free program and is available online. Hope this helps you.

No sound after Win XP Sp3 upgrade

Hi there,

You need to download the sound drivers from the website of computer manufacturer and install it again if not try running Windows updates as even that will download and install it.

Hope this helps you to solve the issue. Please do vote or provide feedback on this solution as it will be appreciated.

Uninstall WIN XP PRO UPGRADE

Unfortunately you cannot "Uninstall an Upgrade" - Do you refer "Upgrade to SP2/ SP3 or WIN98 or WIN2000 to WIN XP? Please clarify? Regardless - you will have to reformat your PC and purchase a new license key as you have used the one on another PC or you should void the license on that PC and use it on the original PC.
In short unless you do not use the license key or purchase a new one, your PC will not log-in after 30 days and you will then have to activate again using telephonic assitance (if you modem and internet connection were no configured before the end of you activation period. There is now Un-install function. Sorry.
