Question about Refrigerators
I have a samsung side by side rs275 and I believe that the drain pan is clogged. I have had a repair out and he cleaned it but now I believe that I need to replace it. underneath the bottom drawer water drains and freezers where the drawer will freeze shut to the water that is frozen at the bottom.

Check under the base, the tube must be clear to the water tray, often there is a rubber flow restrictor, this either perishes or blockes, either way remove it, defrost over night and then turn back on, should then work ok within 24hrs. Regards Adbvisor

you may need to clean the drain tube again. the only other place that water may come from is the ice maker if it is over flowing. this however would be very obvious. use some thing like a length of cloths line cable to "snake" the drain after you defrost it. the fastest way to defrost it is to use hot water and a turkey baister. good luck.

Silicone bath/shower sealant should work, the one that smells like vinegar. Also known as RTV. Just make sure the area is dry, clean and free of old caulk. It'll need to be at room temperature to set properly for a few hours. I have used this sealant on things before that went as low as -50C. Preperation is the key though.

Defrost drain tube is plugged. Drain is a round hole about the size of a quarter below the evaporator coils. (behind back wall of freezer.) Take a turkey baster with hot (not boiling) water and shoot it into the drain hole until water runs through it (into drain pan under refrig.)
