Locked dvd tray

Dear friend,
Press and hold stop+play button on the front panel of the dvd player more than 15 sec the player will be resetting

sony dvp-ns57p dvd player child/ tray locked.
Problem: "tray locked" displays on dvd player..will not open tray with remote or on eject button on unit.
Solution: On the bottom of the unit just below the dvd tray is a white plastic tab. Near the tab etched in the metal are the letters "OP" and and arrow. Pull open the white plastic tab. This will reveal a small thin **** in the metal. Inside the **** is a small black tab "handle". Use a small thin object to fit in the **** and slide the black tab to the side. Sliding the tab will manually open the dvd tray slightly. Pull the tray all the way open and remove your dvd. Power off the unit with the tray still open. Then power the unit back on with the tray still open. The machine will automatically close the tray and search for a dvd. This will reset the tray lock and the machine will function normally
