After approx a minute a regular squeak begins, occasionally missing a beat.Heating is fine.

If the "frequency" of the squeaking is a low frequency, the I would suspect the turntable motor or stirrer motor (if so equipped).

If it is a higher frequency, I would suspect the cooling fan or hood fan motor.

Can I order new "feet" for Lakewood box fans

I searched for your solution. This is the closest I can find. This is customer service for Lakewood.

Another solution if the above does not work. You could make a couple of feet from some wood as well.

My lakewood high speed floor model HV-21T stopped running. After shutting off it started running again but shut off again and this time the motor and cage was extremely hot. Also are new motors available on...

Try replacing the "start-run" capacitor. It is the rectangular black box mounted on a tab next to the motor inside the cage, two wires attached (cut them close as close to the capacitor body as possible). Other symptoms include not moving at all with a hum, and getting very hot. The capacitor is a 5% tolerance 8 microfarad rated at 250vac. It doesn't have to be the exact form factor but it does have to be heat rated at or above 70C per design parameters of the fan.

WARNING! Make sure to protect the leads properly because this capacitor is connected directly to the power mains during operation. If one of the leads electrically shorted against the fan housing or cage could cause a catastrophic failure of the fan, and possibly a fire, and possibly give a nasty shock to whoever was switching on the fan at the time.

Are replacement motors available for these fans? Lakewood HV 18 Lakewood HV 21 Lakewood HV 21T

mcdevito75 here, If the fan is not too old I would figure yes, but a replacement motor will cost as a new fan, if not more, then you have to install and the blades are a presss fit to the motor.

How to stop squeaking noise

usually these units have very inexpensive sleeve bearings that require little maintenance. Have you tried squirting a little WD-40 on the bearings?

How to stop squeaking noise

Some light machine oil (sewing machine oil works well) where the shaft goes through the motor (on both ends, if accessible) should help. you may need to take the grates off of it to reach the oiling points. (Unplug it first, of course)
