Question about Air Tools & Compressors
Pressure has been less daily and now will only reach 70 pounds. I need the 125 pounds of pressure it originally had.

You have a valve plate problem . It could be a slipped "o" ring to a bad reed valve. There are rebuild kits for that purpose. The kits include a valve plate assembly. It covers all the bases. When you look at this area pay attention to the partitions of the head gasket/"o"ring. You may avoid the cost of the kit.

If air leaks when motor is off, fault most likely in-tank check valve. Follow discharge air line from pump to tank. Brass/steel valve at tank is the check valve. Remove hose to valve and check for leak. Replace as needed. If air is leaking while motor is running fault could be reed valves in head. Faulty reed valves in head, or torn head gaskets will cause very hot discharge air and tank will most likely never fill to shut off (or take a very long time to fill)

Possible that there is leak on the system or the piston/rings/cylinder has worn out.Also check for oil within the unit. Check the compression of the cycle and if this is too low it means that there is wear and tear and will require a overhauling and reset.
