Question about Panasonic Rx-5090 Vintage Ghetto Blaster
My RX 5090 is great condition inside and out. Everything works fine except the radio. There is no AM/FM output to the speakers, Internally, I cleaned the switches and the tuner pot with silicone spray, but this had no effect. I could find no broken wires or signs that any liquid had leaked inside. Personally, I suspect the AM/FM switch but am not sure. HELP APPRECIATED !
Cleaning the switches and "tuner pot" with silicone spray is not going to help performance much

Hi there, the grills are incorporated into the cassing ,so you will have to dismantle the unit, which is actually very easy, all you need to do is remove the 8 screws from the back of the unit, then lie it on it's back, and gently but firmley(can take a bit of force) prise the unit in half ,as all thats keeping it together at this stage is the speaker connector plug, located on the inside, right by the earphones socket.Once the unit is appart ,carfully unplug and remove the 4 speakers,I found the best way to clean inside the grills,is to shower them and you can also use a soft nail brush and soap,to get the grime out of the grills.Make sure it's all dry before putting it back together.
Hope this helps
