My canon 60d is blank in the viewfinder all other things are working?

Could be your mirror is in the lockup position. Look on page 125 and 257 of the manual.
Removing the battery, and reinserting it. Then switching on the camera, could also do wonders.

Camara flsh do not open

There is a pin under the spring in the hot shoe (the flat plate). Check to see if it is stuck down. If so the camera thinks there is an external flash installed and will not operate the built in flash.

You can gently pry up the spring and then remove the four screws to take off the hot shoe. Then using a Q-tip dipped in Windex rub it over the pin. Many times it is stuck because of sticky liquid spillage or water damage.

Unable turn on canon 60D i was reviewing the photo

Remove the battery and memory card, switch the power switch on for a few seconds and then switch it off. Make sure the battery is fully charged, re-insert the battery and try to switch on again without the memory card in.

Error 05 for 60d hot to fix it

Error 05 is the flash failing to rise. Usual cause is dirt, impact, water damage, or spillage around where it pivots from the top cover at the back. It also may be failing to go all the way up if you are wearing a baseball cap and it hits the brim - thus the flash up switch does not close and the camera goes into error mode

My new canon eos 60d will not format my new promaster memory card, Message keeps coming back " system busy please wait" did it four times and waited over 30 mins per time

The 60D unlike it's predecessors uses an SD/SDHC card I'm not familiar with the "Promaster" brand of memory card but what all SD cards has is a little lock on the side it's a little white switch that needs to be slide forward to the top of the card to unlock. Once done the card should perform the same way as a Compact Flash card.

If this is not the problem I would suspect a faulty card

My Canon 60D's internal flash will not pop up after removing my speedlite 430EX II. Carl

I encountered this same issue on new 60D. There is a micro switch under a guide blade in the shoe on the right side. Mine was not stuck down but bent just enough downward that the switch was being actuated. I used a pointed pocket knife blade to pry up on the guide blade making it arch slightly upward and everything is fine now. Now i wonder is this going to be a problem every time i mount and unmount my external flash. Time will tell.
