Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How to set a certain font as your default font in windows 07

Windows can hide fonts, based on your input language settings, in programs that allow you to select a font. You can let Windows show and hide fonts automatically, or you can choose to see all of the fonts installed on your computer in your programs. For information about input language settings, see Add or change an input language.

  1. Open Fonts by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Fonts.

  2. In the left pane, click Font settings.

  3. Make sure that the Hide fonts based on language settings check box is selected. If it's not, select it, and then click OK.

To see all installed fonts in your programs, clear the Hide fonts based on language settings check box, and then click OK.

My desktop has no, desktop icons and no taskbar

Sounds like XP. Using the Start button select SETTINGs then select TASKBAR and START MENU.
Go to Start Menu and select CLASSIC. Now your familiar Icons will be on the screen.

If you want, on the first screen you can select AUTO HIDE. This will hide the bar at the bottom of the screen giving you more screen size program area. To access the bar just place your mouse on the bottom of the screen and it will come up.

My start button is hide i can not open the tool and taskbar in control panel

Padmajam,
Someone has played a prank on you. If you take the mouse pointer to the bottom edge the task bar will come on. When it comes on right click on it in the blue space and select the properties. Unclick the box for "Auto hide the Task Bar". And your task bar will be visible to you till someone hides it again.

In vista: taskbar does not show icons of opened files

it might be your taskbar is on auto hide try this

Show or hide the taskbar gl_icon_tip.png Applies to all editions of Windows Vista.
The taskbar is usually located at the bottom of your screen. It looks like this:
getopencontent.aspx?assetid=984f8561-57a1-4b9c-9f22-f0d8dddec294&documentset=en-us&renderkey=xml Taskbar
You can hide the taskbar to create more space. If you don't see the taskbar anywhere on the screen, it might be hidden.
Hide allShow allHide all gl_arrow_down_static.gif To show the taskbar
• If the taskbar is hidden, point to where you last saw it to show it again. If you can't remember where you last saw it, try pointing to the bottom of the screen first, and then to the side or top of the screen, if necessary. You might need to move the pointer almost off the screen to show the taskbar.

1. Open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties by clicking the Start button getopencontent.aspx?assetid=4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33&documentset=en-us&renderkey=xml, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Taskbar and Start Menu.
2. Clear the Lock the taskbar check box.
3. Select the Auto-hide the taskbar check box.
The taskbar is hidden from view. You can see it again by pointing to the place where you last saw it.
