Hitachi sells an adjustable foot attachment that makes it easy to adjust for using your framing gun to install siding or other use where you want more control of how deep the nail sets. Do not remove the safety. Contact hitachi dealer for the accessory. Good luck

I have a hitachi nv45...aand dropped it of the roof.It broke the pushing lever (part #888-883)I replaced it and now the gun isnt firing properly. The guns rapid fire doesnt work. You have to push the trigger...

Sometimes after a good knock on the side the cylinder will bind and not work correctly. Remove the head and make sure that the cylinder moves easily up and down. If cylinder is ok, then most likely the adjustment on the pushing lever set too low. New pushing lever does not come with the adjustment screw and lock nut. Adjust the screw up or down for best firing position. If the adjustment screw is in place and adjusted, make sure that the plunger is not sticking within the valve(plunger makes contact with the adjustment screw on the pushing lever). With pushing lever removed, the plunger should move easily in and out. Good luck

Power washer 12poe-170 takes 5 minutes to build up max pressure

not a new gun but the nozzle removed and cleaned out. Pressure units work through a regulator that is controlled by the flow through the nozzle. If there is insufficient flow the regulator unloads the pump. It the flow is too low the regulator opens and closes as the pressure fluctuates. removing the blockage allows full flow and full operation of the regulator.

I have a Bostitch N60FN air nailer that won't fire, I have replaced tva6 and piston stop, I have no air leaks but when I push trigger I get small puff of air from trigger valve but nothing else.

Easy test, remove the trigger to expose the firing pin and remove the nails. With air connected very quickly depress the firing pin all the way in. If the gun fires, the safey foot is not pushing the pin all the way in. Make adjustments to correct. If the gun still does not fire, the headvalve orings are leaking internally. Remove the head and pull out the head valve. Make sure that there are no fine scratches on the surface where the headvalve orings make contact to cylinder in head. If scratched, remove with very fine sandpaper. Remove the large outer headvalve orings and wind a couple of turns of teflon tape in the groove and replace the oring. This will make the oring fit more snuggly against the head. Lube with white grease and test. Good luck

Pull the trigger, no nail, only continuos air until I release tyhe trigger. not jammed, gun is clean, very new. acted that way right out of the box then it worked and then not and so on, worked...

Safety foot and lever inside of trigger are not pushing the trigger pin all the way in. To verifty that the gun will fire, remove the nails to allow for dry fire. Remove the trigger to reveal the trigger valve. Hold the gun against old coiled rubber hose or soft wood. Very quickly depress the trigger pin all the way in. If the gun fires, adjust safety foot and trigger so that the trigger pin is fully depressed when your bump fire. If the gun will not fire after adjustment, remove the head and lube headvalve/orings with silicone paste lube.

Pistol fires when cocked with safey off. Pistol will not fire with safety on, but when safety is released pistol fires.

Thats why they call it a Safety. Fires when it is off and doesn't when its on. Maybe you should not be playing with guns if you dont understand this concept.

6hp 25 ga. porter cable compresser, keeps running -blows, blowout valve, compresser works good new pressure switch? thanks ,scoop

Pressure switch can be adjusted to lower pressure (most are set between 125 and 150) however could be faulty safety valve if safety open below 165psi. Some things to check. Safey has pressure setting stamped on side. Check range of safety and compare to tank pressure when safety opens. Check that pressure switch contacts are not welded (unplug unit and remove cover to switch, look for contacts thru side of switch). If you suspect that switch is faulty, buy universal switch from ebay or other suppliers making sure of pressure range and fittings. Good luck

I have a paslode airless framer that wont fire. New batterry & fuel cell. It make the noise but wont fire

Hello harderconstr, I have that nail gun myself, and when it's working good it is a great tool to have.
Here are a few suggestions.
1. Remove the battery, make sure that you don't have a nail jammed in the the firing chamber, that has happened to mine before.

2. Adjust the depth tension on the end of the gun. You should have an alen wrench to loosen the adjuster at the tip. Slide the adjuster away from the gun, ( out ) as far as it will go and then tighten it back down. Reinstall the battery and try it again. You can re-adjust the tension after you see if this helps the problem. The adjuster on my gun was worn and I needed to adjust the tension to get it firing again.
3. I also got a new battery for my gun, and what I found was I really had to slide the battery in pretty hard to get it to click in place. Also, when you hold the gun in your right hand, the thumb side of the handle should have a very small LED light, red means it's not ready to fire, green means it is ready to fire. Make sure you have a green light.
I hope this helps you my friend!

Brand new unit. Used last weekend, no problem. Today, won't shoot nail. Air is released when trigger pulled, but no nail plunged.

Orings /other parts tend to stick when nailer is new. Dewalt uses some vinyl orings that have been causing premature failure. Be sure to add a few drops of oil when used. Too much oil is not good. Wrong oil will cause orings to swell and cause problems such as yours. Your nailer's firing valve can be reset by rapping the nailer against rubber surface such as a thick rugger mat or coiled rubber air hose. Remove airline and nails, being carefull not to damage the head, rap had against rubber mat and retest gun. If it did not reset rap against nose of gun and test. If no joy, you will most likely need to remove head and manually move cylinder up/down and /or check vinyl orings for failure. Before you try to reset the gun, make sure that the safety is pushing the firing pin all the way in. Air removed, look under the trigger as you push down on safey, if it does go all the way in try bump-firing the gun (for test have nails removed). Hold in trigger and quicky /firmly strike gun against rubber pad. Good luck

Senco 701xp, I press to nail and get a air hiss as low nails

the problem is in the safey area of the gun, it could be the safety is only partially pushing in (what is sounds like) also, the track may be dirty and need lubed. Spray WD40 on the track and up the nose.

Also, check the thumbscrew on the back of the track by the handle and make sure the track is pushed all the way forward and tightened up
