Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Computer won't recognize external usb hard drive

try it on another computer if that dosent work you should
reformat your computer but first backup all your data by putting your another internal hardrive on your computer and move all your files you need to the empty hardrive and after that take the hardrive with all your stuff in it off the computer and then reformat the hardrive which the external hardrive does not work on and install a new operating system then put the other hardrive with all your stuff back on your computer and transfer your stuff into the hardrive with a operating system then try the external hardrive

OR
you can burn all your stuff into a CD or a DVD
OR
you can put all your stuff into FlashDrives and then after you reformat the hardrive with an operating system put your stuff back into the computer and after that the external hardrive should work

Whenever I plug the lacie hardrive into my computer nothing happens on the computer but a red light turns on and flashes on the lacie

If it still has a valid warranty, exercise the warranty to get a free replacement.

Otherwise, open the enclosure, and separate the disk-drive from the USB-to-disk-drive adapter, and connect the disk-drive as a 'slave' disk-drive in a desktop computer, to see if the adapter was the problem.

Seagate 300gb hardrive

Hey there Haylaym, the info provided is a little scant on detail. I am assuming it is an external drive, and that you are connecting to a computer via usb port. Als I am assuming you are using windows Xp os. I would suggest you follow these steps 1/ ensure the usb port is working by trying another device to check it's connection. 2/ Open your external drive and check to ensure all connections are made properly. 3/ Install the harddrive internally as a slave or secondary drive, remembering to change setup configuration. 4/ You can try it on another computer. After that it should be solved or confirmed to be a dead drive. Good Luck.
