My Qosmio x770 has stopped working suddenly

My laptop Qosmio x770 has stopped working suddenly while I was using the laptop normally. More details about the problem: - I plug the AC adaptor to the laptop and the Power LED lights up normally - I press Turn On button the LED lights up for less than 1 second and then it turn off immediately with he Power LED. - I have to disconnect and reconnect the AC adaptor to my laptop again to repeat these steps otherwise I cannot interact with the laptop again. Recently I've moved into an area that is very dusty, I suspect that it has something to do with this problem but not quite sure.

SOURCE: laptop won't turn on

The blinking orange battery light generally indicates that the battery isn't working properly, usually going out and not charging properly. In this case, since the adapter will not power the machine without the battery, and it should, I'm going to say that the adapter is going out and not getting the proper amount of power to the system. Try replacing the adapter. Be sure to replace it with a Dell replacement, the Targus brand universal adapters do not work well with Dell machines, and in most cases won't work at all.

SOURCE: hp zd8000 wont turn on...

hi thanks for using fixya!!

Try first to remove the battery and connect the AC adapter to your laptop, you will use the power supply directly from the AC adapter without the battery. Turn on your laptop, then if its working normally as it should be,

Then try now to install back the battery then connect the AC adapter, turn it on. If still does not work, perhaps you have a problem with the battery.

If you need further assistance, let me know.

SOURCE: Hp530 turn off suddenly

Get a power charging adaptor from HP (if a smart adaptor) or a generic anywhere that matches your spec. Your device is doing what mine did, but in addition mine beeped softly as a warning of failure. Being a smart adaptor, I had to order one from HP, a generic won't work.

Toshiba Qosmio X775 3DV78 shuts down with a click at start up

Start with removing your battery and assuring your contacts are spiffy-clean! A NEW pencil eraser should do a good job but don't rub so hard you remove the thin chrome plating. Carefully clean the contacts that mate with your battery inside your system too. Shake out any rubber remains,

Now give your X775 a really GOOD charge, If you have the same results it's time to look elsewhere. It may be a faulty power supply?

When possible OPEN your DVD drive. With your battery removed (and drive bay door open) ~ use a air compressor (ala gas station) or air can and blow all of the dust out! DO NOT invert the can as it will deliver LOTS of MOISTURE into your laptop ~ NOT good.

IS your CPU fan is working?... Remove ALL of the dust from your CPU fan AND dust on your cooling fins under the fan too! Dust can cause your CPU to heat pronto. It can also BAKE the silicone seal under the cooling fins... also not good!

Check YOUTUBE to see how to remove your hard drive... honestly, it looks like a very easy job. Just be CAREFUL with the ribbon cable and connector! Will your computer start with the hard drive removed? Shutdown and restart several times... still OK? If so suspect your drive.

With your hard drive out, can boot from a CD/DVD? If so, suspect that hard drive again.

You are in luck because your X775 will support 2 drives! IF a new drive is required install one. Leave your original hard drive out. Once you have your new drive working and all drivers in, shut your system down and install your ORIGINAL drive as a slave or drive 2. YOU MAY still be able to harvest your data from drive 2 to your new hard drive!

IF some of your drivers were missing after your new drive install, you MAY be able to harvest some of the drivers from drive 2 (your original)? Good luck!

I encourage you to see YOUTUBE for very good details on your hard drive... IF you go to a pro to do the job BE SURE to have him/her to replace the CMOS Battery too!

Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q705 Laptop screen yellow

It is not a driver or video card problem. It is the monitor.

To be sure plug a full size desktop monitor into your laptops monitor jack. Every laptop has one. If the picture doesn't turn yellow that will confirm that your LCD is bad.

Toshiba cooling system

If u have a laptop (that's what i found out that toshiba Qosmio is ) then is no problem that the fans stop (as long as the temp. is within the normal working margins ). U might have a setting problem - a bad software, managing the cooling system; - a bad BIOS setting regarding system temperature protection; - or the temperature detectors malfunctions, and must be changed (if possible)
