New Cuisinart Party Popper not heating

I don't have the instructions for the popper and I am wondering if there is a certain way to put the heating plate on the  base that makes the heating elements kick in.  If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate it!

Align the tabs on the plate with the rectangular indentations on the base.
Squeeze tabs, set plate on base and release. This should lock the two pieces together.

    I use this popper.

If the plate locks to the base and unit fails to function, I'd suggest you have a burned out heating element or a faulty switch.

Butter in well

Pop your corn outside until the oil burns away. Then keep butter away from the popper or below it.

How to use

Put popcorn in bottom up to where the ring in bottom levels off for a maker full or less if you don't want a maker full. Cover with popcorn oil, I use the butter flavor oil. Put some butter inside of lid compartment and put lid back on butter compartment. Now just put lid onto popper and plug in. The light on side will come on and popper will start to heat. You will then hear it start to pop. Popping is finished when light on side goes out. Carefully lift the whole popper and shake right side up and then turn upside down and shake. Remove bottom, add some popcorn salt if you like and enjoy it right out of the lid. Delisious!!

Do you need to add anything to the popcorn machine

Depends on your machine. What bran/model dso you have? If it is an air popper, NO. Adding anything will damage the machine.

If your machine is not an air popper then you likely need to add some oil. I currently have a WestBend Stir Crazy Popcorn Popper. You use a tablespoon of oil for each 1/4 cup of popcorn in the bottom of the popper. See here; an instruction manual is available.

You are best to check with the manufacturer of your popccorn popper.

I have two of your popcorn makers and lost instructions on the amounts of ingrediients. I need to know how much corn, oil and salt to put in aluminum popper thank yhou

The manual says to put 1 to 3 tablespoons of oil in the popper, and when hot, add 1/2 cup popcorn. Salt it after dumping the popped corn into a bowl.

I CANNOT FIND INSTRUCTIONS HOW MUCH OIL AND POPCORN DO I PUT IN AND WHERE? THANKS, ARLENE,///

I have the same popper and the instructions. You do not need any oil. There is a circle lid piece at the top of the popper. You put the pop corn seeds in that lid and then pour the seeds in through the hole at the top. The popper needs to be off while you do this. Once you've added the popcorn you can then turn on the switch located on the back of the popper. It looks like a small light switch. The popcorn will start popping and it may smell funny at first if you haven't used it or used it properly. You have to monitor it and turn it off yourself- using that same switch. And per the manual you need to wait 15 minutes before you use it again.
We use ours all the time and love it. Hope this helps.

Use

Is the heater heating? Please check it ... Plug it into the outlet ... and put your hand GENTLY on the burner to see if it heats up. Of course, if it gets hot ... remove your hand.

I suspect the heater is not functioning 'pop'erly ...

Hi--no air in Busy Ball popper

I had the same problem!! Music worked, but fan just stopped running... Since my kids love their busy ball popper I was determined to find a fix!!
The solution for me was to replace all 4 batteries with identical brand batteries.
When the original batteries had puttered out I replaced them with 2 brand new Duracell and 2 brand new Energizer batteries (because that's what I had on hand). The popper worked just fine and I'd say a few weeks later the fan just stopped working. Music played, but no fan. I thought the fan motor must have gone bad, so I searched for another popper at a resale shop (hoping to salvage the fan motor). Well I found one, but didn't end up using it because I discovered that putting ALL the same brand of batteries in my popper did the trick. The batteries weren't necessarily brand new, but they were all the same brand and I would guess the same "age". Anyway, I'm just glad it all works now (music and fan) and my kids are back to their ball popping fun. If you haven't already give this a try. Otherwise I have a spare ball popper if you need any parts! Good luck!

Cuisinart popcorn popper directions

If you are using the Cuisinart pop corn poppper, don't use olive oil. Use vegetable oil. Two teaspoons is enough with 1/3 cup of premium kernels. That is it. Turn on the machine and wait til it stops popping. I LOVE my new pop corn popper. I will not do the hot air one again. I always had kernels flying all over my kitchen and popped popcorn everywhere, The Cuisinart popper is the best....
