SOURCE: Speaker Sound Issue with 2 of the 4 speakers

Try this, I work in the sound production busines. Your audio CDs are not designed for Quad listening, they are stereo. If you put a game in you will hear all 4 speakers.

SOURCE: Cant connect rear speakers

Hey there Subaquakid, the nature of surround systems is to identify separate extra channels of information and send them to the right address, being the selected speaker. In order for the rear speakers to work they need to be sent a signal. The media which you are using may not have the rear channel encoded. therefore the rear speakers have nothing to announce. Please ensure your source cd has the suround feature encoded. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

No sound hp pavilion a1630n how to solve this problem

Hi there,
Dealing with no sound problem, first thing you can check is the Physical hardware/Speakers, Make sure speaker volume is ok or if its properly connected, if all is properly configure proceed to next step
2 .Make sure that the Volume control is not on Mute, look at the lower side of the screen you will see there a small speaker icon, Make Sure that it dont have (x)mark on it. if you dont have the icon:
Check Device Manager: Right Click My Computer>Manage>Device Manager

Look for Sound, Video and Game Controllers make sure none of the list got (x) or (!)

if it has (x) on it right click the driver and select enable
if it has (!) download the Audio driver HERE ..
Installing Audio Driver normally fix any software related sound issues.

HI I HAVE A DELL VOSTRO A860 AND I JUST INSTALLED WINDOWS 7 EVERYTHING IS WORKING FINE EXCEPT THE SOUND IVE DOWNLOADED VISTA DRIVERS REALTEK AND CONEXTEANT DRIVERS BUT I CANT SEEM TO GET THE SOUND TO WORK...

If you hear the sound on the headphones then the drivers installed correctly and the defect is either hardware - the jack for the headphones is stuck so the internal speakers are no longer activated when you unplug the headphones = the jack will have to be replaced by a shop - or software - you will have to go into the Realtek HD Control Panel and configure the audio outputs correctly = enable or unmute the internal speakers.
The Panel icon can be found in the notification area or in Start > Control Panel.

Does anyone know 5 simple operating faults and how to trouble shoot them of the Dell Inspiron 560?

There is not a easy 5 simple step trouble shooting system for computers.
BUT there is a trouble shooting flow chart for computers.
Go to this WEB site for this trouble shooting flow chart.

My dell compaq has no sound at all it is optiplex GX270

Guest

If you GX260 does not have sound ether the problem is with your speakers or the computer.

To test this I would try connecting head phones to the speaker output on the back on the computer to see if you have sound.

Another thing I would do is download the most current sound drivers from support.dell.com to see if this fixes your problem.

If you still have trouble leet me know the version of Windows you have and the make and model of your speakers.

Computer speakers

Are you sure your in the right slot with the speaker wire at the back of your PC it is the green imput. Make sure that the speakers are pluged in if there is a plug for them.
Sorry for sounding a bit basic I'm sure you have already checked these but sometimes people forget.

The volume may be turned off on the status bar at the bottom left of you destop. This is a small speaker double click it and check that the volume is not turned off.

there is no drivers ar anything for the actual speakers unless there is a problem with the sound card in your Dell.

Will you just check that all the wiring is correct and I will guide you through the trouble shooting to see is there anything wrong in the drivers if everthing is ok wiring wise.
