This model is prone to a lot of problems to the point where a year or so ago they offered a chassis replacement on an exchange basis.

I would with rear cover removed try to localize first where the sound or buzz is coming from: The ballast? the Light engine? The power supply?

I can help but as I said this model has a LOT of chronic problems.

With my Sony Bravia 46" xbr the screen keeps cutting out. I'm usig hdmi cables and can't find a reason why te tv keeps cutting out. The sound still remains but picture doesn't. Not even out technician can...

Usually this happens to my set when I am in HD cable channel mode after being on a non-digital ANALOG channel.

I basically reset the TV by changing to a DIGITAL cable channel -- stay on that channel for ten-twenty seconds -- then I switch back DIRECTLY to a HD channel (key in channel number directly on remote).

TV works fine -- seems to be a glitch when the TV changes modes from Analog to HD

its not that, it just cuts out when the sound gets quiet, the matsui thinks the small amount of sound is 'interference' so blocks it out, however if a film gets quiet it blocks it out, which is ridiculously stupid, i have no idea how to sort it out either

TV Turns on picture comes on for 30 seconds then picture goes off and sound stays on. Even after leaving tv on the sound stays but the picture does not come back on. Its a westinghouse SK-32H540S

This is not the fix for this TV. I guarantee that none of the capacitors exhibit the common bulging characteristics of a faulty capacitor. The common answers to everyone's questions are to replace the capacitors. Most likely the culprit is the inverter board.

Dont know your brand, but it sounds that your interface board (power) is not holding low voltage(5V) to main brd. It is not something I or anyone can guide you thru this unless you have an electronics troubleshooting background. In other words, no easy fix here, sorry. I would suggest taking unit to a qualified shop in your area.

Power on T.V. keeps cutting on & off every second.

I believe that your TV's had a bad soldering. resoldering all the circuits may help.

if you bang or tap the top or side of your TV the video, sound, or anything will move or something happen.

warning: TV's has a high voltage. I prefer you to be careful if you open it.
have a good day and take care.

Hitachi ultravision rear projection 60 in picture flics off then back on.

Unplug tv
Check the red wire & the seal boot on the "Flyback Transformer"...the wire may be loose & need to be shoved back tightly into the transformer...then seal it extra with black tape
be careful back there there are capasitors that still hold a charge even if tv is unpluged...if your clumsly you could get a bad jolt!
If that doesen't fix it; you may need to replace the "Flyback Transformer" itself...(about 8 or so sodder joints)
you will need to either pry the red wire out or cut it if there is enough extra...if you cut it you will need to strip the end & get a new barbed end for it at Radio Shack" of some other electronic outlet.
Good Luck,
Vinnie

No picture but has sound

The problem can be caused by a bad sustain board (Ysus Zsus) , the popping sound is often caused by a capacitor blowing up.
The TV must be taken apart and tested before eventually replacing sustain boards.
