I cannot get my vacuum in an upright position. How can I do this?

Hi,

Try this quick repair and see if this fixes your Dyson:

Step 1.
Turn power off and unplug the machine.
Tilt the machine backward to a 45° angle.

Step 2.
  • Hold the section under the airway inspection pipe.
  • The black forward lock button must be held down simultaneously, otherwise the valve carriage will not move.
  • Pivot this section upwards until it clicks into place.
  • Release the black button once the valve pipe carriage is moved up into place.

    Step 3.

    • Tilt the machine forward.
    • The cleaner head should now slide underneath the part you have just clicked into place.
    • The machine should now stand upright.

CD player FW320C displays NO DISC--Have tried p27 Trouble- shooting-No luck. Anything else I can try?

Try to clean the laser lens if you have a lens cleaning cd or if you know some electronics you can do it manually by disassambling it and very gently with a very soft tissue or a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol wipe the laser lens.Other possible problem: if the laser is jammed you can try to rotate axle of the little motor that moves the laser unit by hand until the laser moves a centimeter away from the interior(pay attention in which way it must be spinned).Otherwise it seems the laser unit is dead and there might be a chance to resurrect it by rotating slowly clockwise one small potentiometer located on the laser unit in very small steps and testing each time the effect in reading the cd.Or buy a new laser unit.
    Hope this helps !

I need to know the torque settings on the head for a 94 jeep grand cherokee laredo

Assuming the motor is an inline six
    1.Middle bolt is number 1.Clockwise torque to 22 f/lb
    2.Same pattern to 45 f/lb
    3. same pattern to 100 f/lb
Be sure to use loctite 592 to the threads and some head gasket sealer to both sides of the head gasket.
    Hope this helps

PS2 Disk tray wont go in all the way

IF FOR SOME REASON THE TRAY DOES NOT OPEN, OR HALF-WAY OPENS FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING STEPS TO RE ALIGN IT.

STEP 1) TAKE THE COVER OFF, BY UNSCREWING IT FROM THE BOTTOM.

STEP 2) NOW TAKE OFF THE 4 SMALL SCREWS ON TOP OF THE CD ASSEMBLY, ONCE YOU TAKE THEM OFF THE TOP SHOULD COME OFF EASILY.

STEP 3 ) YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE THE SPINDLE AND THE LASER NOW. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE TURN THE PS2 ON AND HIT THE POWER BUTTON. ONCE YOU HIT THE POWER BUTTON THE SPINDLE SHOULD SPIN AND THE LASER SHOULD MOVE FOWARD AND BACKWARDS AND ALSO UP AND DOWN. IF ALL THIS HAPPENS THEN YOUR PROBLEM PROBABLY IS THE TRAY IF ONE OF THOSE THINGS DON'T MOVE THEN THATS PROBABLY YOUR PROBLEM. NOW HIT THE REST BUTTON AND SEE WHAT HAPPEN

STEP 4) IF THE TRAY IS MISALIGNED, LOOK TOWARDS THE FRONT LEFT SIDE OF THE TRAY YOU WIL SEE TWO SCREWS, TAKE THOSE OFF SO YOU CAN TAKE THE TRAY OFF.

STEP 5) ONCE THE SCREWS ARE OFF, LIFT THAT SIDE AT ABOUT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE AND PUL THE TRAY OUT.

STEP 6) BEFORE WE TRY TO REALIGN IT TURN THE POWER BACK ON AND HIT THE EJECT BUTTON, WE JUST WANT TO PROVE ALL THE GEARS AND THE MOTORS ARE WORKING. IF THEY DO MOVE THEN THE ONLY THING NEEDED IS THE REALIGNMENT. IF THE GEARS DON'T MOVE YOU PROBABALY HAVE A BAD MOTOR OR A GEAR MIGHT BE BAD

STEP 7) NOW TO REALIGN IT. MAKE SURE THE CD TRAY SLIDE, THE WHITE PIECE, IS ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT.

STEP 8) WE ARE GOING TO SLIDE THE TRAY ALL THE WAY IN, BUT MAKE SURE ITS DONE IN A 45 DEGREE ANGLE AND THAT THE TRAY IS ONLY CONNECTED TO THE RIGHT. ONCE ITS IN ALL THE WAY LOWER THE TRAY TO THE LEFT SIDE. IF IT HITS THE PIECE IN THE BACK-LEFT PULL IT A BIT FORWARD. IT SHOULD FALL IN EASILY. NOW TURN THE PS2 ON AGAIN AND EJECT THE TRAY, HOPEFULLY IT OPENS ALL THE WAY. IF IT DIDN'T START AT STEP 5 AND START AGAIN. SOMETIMES IT TAKES 2 OR 3 TIMES TO GET IT INTO THE RIGHT PLACE. press the " SET 'clock symbol' " button
a little red check mark with a circle around it pops up to the lower right of the time
press and hold either the " TRK >>| " button (to move the time forwards)
or the " TRK <<| " button (to move the time backwards)
when you are finished changing the time, the time change indicator (the little check mark with the circle around it), will go away on its own
you can repeat these steps as many times as necessary until you get the time right -- the numbers change pretty quickly when you are holding down the change buttons!!!

Ilo will not go forward it will only scroll music backwards.

This player (it's not the only one) is "sticky" - it is slow to move forward and back - best bet is to stop song play completely, and THEN move forward and back

    New laserunit won't work

You seem confident enought to take it apart, have you tried cleaning the runners that the laser runs backward and forward on.
Some times they collect dirt/dust and the laser can't move smoothly so it jerks and skips.

My Panasonic CD player wont play any of my CD's and its a Panasonic CD Stereo System Model No.SC-ak610

Does it try to read the CD's are they spinning, if so it may need the laser lens cleaning. Or the rails that the little sledge that the laser moves backwards and forwards on may need cleaning and regreasing.
