Question about Televison & Video
My 9242 receiver wouldn't power up yesterday. I unplugged it, waited 15 minutes, plugged it back in, it recycled and came up. This morning it cut out during a show and wouldn't't star. I tried the same thing and it worked. I also want to point out when it came up yesterday there was a new screen asking me if I wanted something. So I believe Bell was pushing something out to the customers

The following instructions will enable the Bell 9242 remote to operate a Bell 5900 receiver. Remove back battery cover. Just below the "Bell" lettering on the front of the remote, there is a half moon shaped plastic insert "key" that slids out downward. Turn over the plastic key and reinsert back into postion and replace the battery cover. Success!
