Usb removable disk is suddenly showing as local disk

Check that the safety switch is not on the USB. Some of them have a simple on off switch that gets turned off. I have made that mistake myself even knowing they are there. If there is not one of these switches I would try the device in another computer and see if it comes up the same way again.

The missil disk i got won't setup in my computer

Dont even bother with that disk, What is the model number of your player?

-I'll be able help you get video on it, I just need to know the resolution of the screen.

-as for music, there are 2 ways to go about loading your songs...

1. use windows media player, click on the sync tab, setup your device, check the songs you want to load and then click start sync.

2. open my computer, your device will show up as USB mass storage device, double click that and simply drag and drop your mp3 files into the music folder

Usb device not recognized

Hi i had a similar problem but mine was with a new HDD but you could try it and see if it helps at all:

Try looking for the drive in the "Disk Management".
Right click on "My Computer" or "Computer" and select "Manage" then select the "Disk Management" item.

If you can see the drive, but there is no drive letter assigned, you may need to format it for your operating system or create an accessible partition on the drive. You can access all these options by right clicking on the drive from the "disk management" screen that you should be on.

mine needed to be initialized (by right clicking on it) and then i formated it

Good Luck!

MWZ-S615F will not charge or connect

I'm sure it's the cable that's not functioning properly. Mine started doing the same thing and after wiggling and adjusting the cable inside the MP3 itself, the computer finally recognized it and I was free to charge and add music. Also you can try to connect it to a different USB port on your computer. The beeps however are news to me, unless I just never noticed. One piece of advice is to never let the MP3 battery die, because after I let it happen mine began to experience more severe problems.

USB Write Protection Hi, I am trying to copy/delet files from/to a USB stick. window says: " The disk cannot be written to because it is write protected. Please remove the write protection from volume USB...

As you said that there is no switch to lock and unlock usb stick so if this is the case than download the file below
Use the Registry Hack to Disable Writing to USB Drives
Here is the link .just download the zip folder and after opening the folder you will find a file just double click on it..
This will solve the write protect error definitely
