Question about LG Heating & Cooling
Will not run at all... Hot or cold mode. Upon start up the display comes on, vents open.. No fan start up, vents shut.. Green light flashes 6 times.....flashes 6 times....etc etc. at this point, the remote is rendered useless until I go out to the fuse box and reset at the breaker. Then it all happens again. I'm an automotive A/C techy so I have some idea with it all..( but not much!). Surely the fault code of 6 green flashes means one thing and one thing only?? I've found plenty of opinions online but there must be one that LG specifies.(whether that counts for anything is another thing, experience wins out over books every time!) can anyone hare their experience with me? My wife is killin me!!
You must reset the c.breaker from you panel house, and try again.
If the problem persist, replace the battery from r.control and try again. TURN ON manually, and see what happening. If turn on again, is o.k.
If the problem persist the control board inside is faulty .call some electrician or tech for help
God bless you

Its may be the thermistor is defective or out of range or the board itself, the unit will not operate unless the defective part is not replace.

I would first check the condensate drain pipe. This can be done by blowing back into the drainpipe from outside. Not to worry it is not dirty or dangerous. Also make sure that your air filters are clean.

Unfortunately no, this is one of three things.
1. Compressor is worn and is starting to pull to many amps to operate. Can possibly be fixed by putting a hard start kit on the unit, but will have to be done by a technician.
2. Compressor has an internal short and will have to be replaced.
3. Fuses bad or under sized. Max fuse size is stated on information plate on outside unit.
Sorry to hear about your troubles and hope you can get it fixed soon!

If you machine still shuts off after 3 minutes maybe it is running hot.
3 things that cause a computer to run hot.
1. Dust, dust in the vents, dust around the fans, cpu and heatsink.
2. A fan that is not working
3. The Thermal Paste around the Cpu and Heatsink has dried up or is too thin to keep the unit cool.
One sign of a computer overheating is to turn it
back on immediately after it shuts off. if it will not power back up
and stay on then it is running hot. If you let it sit a while then turn
it back on and you are successful, then it was running hot.
