Question about Gigabyte GA-8I865GME-775-RH Motherboard
Gigabyte G 31 model 1st generation DDR2 2GB RAM 500 GB Hard disk Seagate Processor Core 2 duo. Hence what would be the best replacement for the above mentioned specification with maximum warranty. Please suggest...
I've had an Asus P5Q-SE for about 7 years now and it's a solid board. It has 4 memory slots, 2 IDE ports, 6 SATA ports, 6 USB ports on the back with headers for 6 more via front panel or rear expansion card and 5.1 sound, as well as an embedded (although VERY basic) operating system, onboard antivirus and a couple other goodies in the ROM.
I'm sure there is an updated version of this board by now which would offer more features but I don't even use all the features of this board. Regardless of which board you get, it will have to be socket 775 and support DDR2 if you want to keep everything else
