when I conect my dishwasher to a power socket the fuse in the plug explodes. Is there anything I could check before calling a repair person out or is this likely to be a problem for a proffesional?

- It had stopped working mid cycle a few months previously. I was able to turn it off and start the cycle again a few times but it would stop again - after a few attepts it stopped altogether. I wondered if it might have got wet, as I had had a leak in the kitchen - not from the dishwasher so I left it a month, changed the fuse and it worked again. It was fine for about six weeks and then the fuse exploded. If I now replace the fuse it explodes again
