Replacement parts dirt devil pool vacuum

I purchased a dirt devil pool vacuum many years ago and the handle has cracked and I need a replacement handle, plus I need filters for the filter cartridge. I am having a hard time finding anyone that has these parts, any suggestions on where I can find the replacement parts?

My vacuum came with a sponge over the filter and the directions said I could wash the filter. Do the directions mean to wash the black sponge or the actual filter? Is the sponge part of the filter or is it trash?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Typically the top filter of which is the sponge is washable but the HEPA filter is not, it can be brushed off and vacuum off with another vacuum, but the best filtration is to replace the HEPA filter and to wash the sponge filter, if the sponge filter get to bad then replace the sponge filter as well. Or, you can check with your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or to contact the manufacturer’s website and or phone #. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Dirt Devil Rampage Robotic Pool Vacuum wont climb side and stays in deep end all the time?

If a pool vac is not climbing the side of the pool this is one of several things main things . a blockage in the pipe (try inserting garden hose to flush it. or insufficient vacuum at the skimmer box (Test with your hand) or a break inside the unit - if the third, you probably need to take it in for repair.

How do you empty it?

There is a black clip at the top of the dirt cup which holds the dirt cup in place on this vacuum. Pull back on this clip with one hand and with the other you will be able to remove the entire dirt cup assembly. Once the dirt cup assembly is off remove the lid, and take the bottom portion to the trash can and dump. Tap the side of the cup slightly to remove excess dirt. Romove the dirt cup filter inside and do the same. Replace the fiter and the lid and put it back on to the machine. You should replace the dirt cup filter every 6 months to a year. Part is below:

Cleaner is not picking up debris from pool bottom

Have you check the filter/baskets to make sure that you don't have a large piece of debris that is preventing suctions? You will also want to check each section on the vaccum systematically to make sure that there are not cracks or noticable areas of damage that would prevent the pool cleaner from working. Is is not moving at all or just not sucking properly? Can you give me more details as to what it, exactly, it is doing?
